The U.S. and Japanese version supports 100Vac-120Vac (50Hz/60Hz); international version supports 220Vac-240Vac (50Hz/60Hz) charging. The X-STREAM system supports an entry-level UPS function, allowing use of the AC socket while connected to a wall socket with AC power supply (grid power, not battery). If grid power is suddenly lost, the device automatically switches to RIVER 600 MAX battery power mode in <30ms for uninterrupted work. This is an entry-level UPS function that does not support 0ms switching. Do not connect devices with high uninterrupted power supply requirements. Perform multiple tests to confirm compatibility before connecting devices like data servers and workstations. EcoFlow is not responsible for data loss or equipment damage due to failure to follow instructions.
13. Overload Protection Switch
When input current continuously exceeds 10A during charging, the AC charging port triggers overload protection (Overload Protection Switch button pops out). When the device is confirmed normal, press the button to continue charging.
14. Solar Charge/Car Charge Input Port
Supports connection of up to two 110W solar panels in parallel. RIVER 600 MAX has a limit input of 200W. Supports 12V/24V car charge up to 10A (ensure the engine is running, otherwise the car battery may be drained).

Solar Panel Connection
How to recharge the RIVER 600 MAX using solar panels?
Refer to the Solar Panel User Guide for detailed connection information. This section demonstrates connecting one or two solar panels in parallel. The RIVER 600 MAX supports a 10-25V DC input. Input exceeding 25V triggers overvoltage protection, which may damage the product. EcoFlow does not provide free repair services for damage caused by incorrect connection of solar panels.
1. Recommend Charging Method
Example 1: Connect a solar panel (not more than one in series) using an EF MC4 to XT60 solar charge cable. Connect the XT60 connector to the RIVER 600 MAX's XT60 input.
Example 2 (Parallel connection only): Connect up to 2 sets of solar panels in parallel using a solar MC4 parallel connection cable (sold separately). Connect the XT60 connector to the RIVER 600 MAX's XT60 input.
2. RIVER 600 MAX supports the use of third party solar panels (DIY solution)
Universal solar panels with MC4 connection standard can be used if voltage and current (10-25V DC, 12A Max) comply with specifications. Use the MC4 to XT60 conversion cable for charging. EcoFlow does not provide free repair services for damage caused by quality issues or improper operation of third-party solar panels.
Entry-Level UPS
RIVER 600 MAX Entry-level UPS Use Reminder
The RIVER 600 MAX's X-STREAM system supports an entry-level UPS function. You can use the AC socket while connected to a wall socket with AC power supply. When grid power is lost, the device automatically switches to battery power mode in <30ms for uninterrupted work. This UPS function does not support 0ms switching. Do not connect devices with high uninterrupted power supply requirements. Perform multiple tests to confirm compatibility for devices like data servers and workstations. EcoFlow is not responsible for data loss or equipment damage due to user failure to follow instructions. Parallel mode uses Parallel Cables to connect two products for nearly doubled power. Since the UL2743 standard socket cannot be grounded effectively, connect the grounded wire to the grounding screw port of the input end for safety.
Entry-Level UPS User Guide
Connect the AC charging cable of RIVER 600 MAX to the power grid and a device to RIVER 600 MAX. Turn on the AC switch to automatically enter the entry-level UPS mode. When external power is cut off, power is supplied from the battery immediately to protect your device.
* UPS is only applicable to electrical appliances below 600W. Do not use other equipment simultaneously to avoid OVERLOAD. EcoFlow is not responsible for abnormal operation or data loss caused by careless use. Only one RIVER 600 MAX can conduct the UPS function. Connecting more than one RIVER 600 MAX CANNOT conduct the UPS function.
AC X-Boost Mode
EcoFlow AC X-Boost allows use of 600W-1200W appliances with the RIVER 600 MAX AC inverter without overload protection disruption. This eliminates the need for different electrical devices. Traditional inverters overload with higher-rated appliances. EcoFlow AC X-Boost enables powering of 600W-1200W appliances. Note the following:
- X-Boost mode is enabled by default. Use the App to turn it on/off. Do not connect AC output to the home grid under X-Boost mode, as low voltage protection will trip.
- X-Boost mode is not available in parallel connection state, charging state, or when X-Boost mode is off.
- When using appliances with a rated power of 600W-1200W, connect only one appliance. Connecting multiple devices may affect voltage and usage of other devices.
* X-Boost mode is not applicable to all devices. Some devices with strict voltage requirements (600W-1200W) are still not compatible. Conduct a full test before usage. It is recommended to use electrical equipment with heating elements and a rated power between 600-1200W, such as hair dryers, electric kettles, coffee machines.
