Laney LF212 & LF412 User Manual
Introduction
This manual provides information for the Laney Lionheart LF212 and LF412 speaker cabinets. These cabinets are designed to complement the Lionheart amplifier series, offering robust construction and high-quality sound reproduction.
LF212
The LF212 is an open-backed cabinet featuring two 12" HH H1260 drivers, delivering warm bass, rich mids, and brilliant highs. It is rated at 4 Ohms and has a power handling of 120W RMS (240W Continuous, 480W Peak). The cabinet is constructed from durable composite wood (15mm MDF) with a tough vinyl finish and steel corners, making it road-ready. Its dimensions are 445mm (H) x 681mm (W) x 280mm (D), and it weighs 16.2 kg.
Features:
- High sensitivity HH H1260 8 Ω woofer
- Side-mounted bar handles
- Robust all-wood construction
- Durable finish
LF412
The LF412 is a closed-back cabinet equipped with four 12" HH H1260 drivers, providing powerful bass, punchy low-mids, aggressive mid-highs, and crystal-clear highs. It is rated at 4 Ohms and handles 240W RMS (480W Continuous, 960W Peak). Similar to the LF212, it features a robust construction with a durable vinyl finish and steel corners for road use. Its dimensions are 696mm (H) x 681mm (W) x 350mm (D), and it weighs 28.9 kg.
Features:
- High sensitivity HH H1260 16 Ω woofer
- Side-mounted bar handles
- Robust all-wood construction
- Durable finish
Rear Panel
The rear panel features a single input jack for connecting the amplifier to the cabinet. It is crucial to match the speaker impedance to or exceed the amplifier's recommended output impedance. For example, if the amplifier is rated for 4 Ohm speakers, use a cabinet with a 4 Ohm or higher impedance.
Connections
Internal connections show the wiring of the drivers within the cabinets. The LF212 uses two drivers wired in parallel, and the LF412 uses four drivers wired in parallel.
