Product Overview

The QFX R-52 is a versatile portable world band receiver designed for entertainment and utility. It features AM, FM, and SW radio reception, MP3 playback via USB or TF card, Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in torch light, and solar charging capabilities.

Device Layout

Familiarize yourself with the QFX R-52's components:

• 1. Power/Volume Control: Knob to turn the unit on/off and adjust volume.
• 2. Speaker: Integrated speaker for audio output.
• 3. Torch Light: Bright LED light for illumination.
• 4. Band Button: Selects the radio band (AM, FM, SW, MP3, BT).
• 5. Tuning: Knob to scan and select radio frequencies.
• 6. USB Slot: Port for connecting USB flash drives for MP3 playback.
• 7. TF Card Slot: Slot for inserting TF (microSD) cards for MP3 playback.
• 8. Light Switch: Controls the torch light.
• 9. Solar Panel: Panel for charging the internal battery using solar energy.
• 10. Charge Slot: DC 5V input for charging the battery via an external power source.
• 11. Prev Button: Skips to the previous track during MP3 or Bluetooth playback.
• 12. Play/Pause Button: Controls playback of music files or Bluetooth audio.
• 13. Next Button: Skips to the next track during MP3 or Bluetooth playback.
• 14. Aux: Auxiliary input port for connecting external audio devices.

Power Source and Charging

The QFX R-52 is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. For first-time use, charge the unit for at least four hours. Recharge as needed thereafter.

To charge:

• Connect the provided USB charge cable to the DC 5V interface (10) of the unit.
• The charge LED indicator will be red while charging and will turn off when the battery is fully charged.
• The unit can be used normally while it is charging.
• For optimal battery life and product performance, charge the battery for 6-8 hours.
• Ensure correct polarity when installing or replacing the rechargeable battery in its compartment.

Solar charging (9) provides an alternative way to maintain battery charge when exposed to sunlight.

Controls and Functions

Radio Operation:

• Slide the band button (4) to select AM, FM, or SW.
• Turn the tuning knob (5) to receive different stations.
• For FM reception, pull out the antenna and adjust its length for clear listening.
• For AM reception, reposition the unit for the best signal.

MP3 Playback (USB/TF Card):

• Set the band button (4) to "MP3" mode.
• Insert a USB flash drive or a TF card containing MP3 format music into the respective slot (6 or 7). The unit will play music automatically.
• Use the PLAY/PAUSE (12), PREV (11), and NEXT (13) buttons to control playback.

Bluetooth Play Instructions:

• Set the band button (4) to "MP3" mode. The unit will announce "BT MODE".
• On your wireless device (e.g., mobile phone, computer), turn on its wireless link function and search for available devices.
• Pair your device with the QFX R-52. Once paired, you can play media songs wirelessly.

• TF card music player supports capacities up to 32GB and automatically recognizes inserted cards.
• USB playback function supports drives up to 32GB and automatically recognizes inserted drives.

Important Safety Information

• Ventilation: Do not install this equipment in a confined or built-in space (e.g., bookcase). Ensure it is placed in an open site with adequate ventilation, and do not cover ventilation openings with items like newspapers or cloths.
• Water and Moisture: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. It shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and objects filled with liquids (e.g., vases) shall not be placed on the apparatus.
• Heat: The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine or fire.
• Mains Plug: The mains plug is used as a disconnect device; it shall remain readily operable.
• Flammable Sources: No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
• Battery Disposal: Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

Common Problems and Solutions

A: Bluetooth connection and pairing have been unsuccessful multiple times.

1. Check if the speaker is in the search state or restart the unit.
2. Too many peripheral Bluetooth devices may be causing difficulties. Turn off other Bluetooth devices.
3. Disconnect the last Bluetooth device connected to the speaker and establish a new connection.

B: The sound is too low or distorted during song playback.

1. Check the volume setting on your mobile phone or connected device and adjust accordingly.
2. The battery voltage may be low; please charge the unit.

C: There is interruption in Bluetooth music playback sound.

This may occur if the speaker exceeds the effective connection distance or if there is an obstacle between the speaker and the device.

QFX, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that the Product will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal, non-commercial use for the applicable Warranty Period.

This warranty covers normal use and is not transferable. QFX is not responsible for warranty replacement if the QFX label or logo is removed, or if the product fails due to misuse, abuse, immersion in liquids, improper installation, shipping damage, disasters, unauthorized service, neglect, accidents, incorrect electrical voltage, or other specified conditions.

The product is sold for personal, non-commercial use only and is not warranted for commercial or rental use, or for applications where data stored on the product is critical for medical or lifesaving purposes.

EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE, QFX DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. QFX'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE CUMULATIVE PRODUCT FEES PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE PRODUCTS CAUSING THE DAMAGES.

Include a dated sales receipt, a detailed description of the problem, your full contact information, and all accessories. A cashier's check or money order payable to QFX, Inc. for the specified amount for return shipping and handling must be included.
