Control Panel
The QFX R-40 features a comprehensive control panel for easy operation. Key components include:
- 1. Telescopic Antenna: Extend to optimize radio reception.
- 2. MODE/LED Button: Cycle through FM, Bluetooth, AUX, USB, and TF modes. Press and hold to turn the LED light on/off.
- 3. PLAY/PAUSE/PHONE Button: Play or pause audio, initiate FM auto scan, answer and end calls. In Bluetooth mode, press and hold to activate the flashlight.
- 4. '-' Button: Select the previous audio track (.mp3) from USB or TF Card.
- 5. '+' Button: Select the next audio track (.mp3) from USB or TF Card.
- 6. Battery Compartment: For installing dry or rechargeable batteries.
- 7. Fan: A swivel fan for cooling.
- 8. Fan Button: Turns the fan ON/OFF.
- 9. Power LED Light Switch: Activates the LED light only.
- 10. DC 5V IN JACK: For recharging the unit. Remove dry batteries before charging.
- 11. AUX JACK: Connect a 3.5mm external audio source for playback.
- 12. Charge Indicator Light: Illuminates when the unit is charging.
- 13. Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the unit is ON.
- 14. TF Card Slot: Insert TF cards with MP3 formatted music for playback.
- 15. USB Port: Insert USB drives with MP3 formatted music for playback.
- 16. Hand Strap: For securing the device.
- 17. Speaker: A 2" speaker for audio output.
- 18. Solar Panel: Recharges the unit using solar power.
- 19. Flash Light: An LED type flashlight.
General Functions
Battery Installation: Install the 18650 battery into the battery compartment (6), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
Powering On/Off: Use the ON/OFF/LED switch (9) to activate the unit or flashlight.
Fan Operation: Press the Fan button (8) to turn the fan on/off and adjust its speed.
Radio Reception: Extend the telescopic antenna (1) for optimal FM radio reception.
Power Saving: Turn the unit OFF when not in use and disconnect the USB power cord. For long-term storage, disconnect the power cable and remove batteries.
Volume and Track Selection: Use the '-' and '+' buttons (4, 5) to adjust volume and select audio tracks or FM stations.
USB/TF Card Playback: Insert a USB drive or TF card with MP3 files. The unit will play automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE button (3) to pause playback. Use '-' and '+' buttons (4, 5) to navigate tracks.
Phone Link (Bluetooth):
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and search for 'QFX R-40'.
- Select the option to pair the devices.
- Once paired, you can enjoy music from your favorite app. Reconnection is automatic when changing modes.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE/PHONE button (3) to answer or end calls. Press and hold to activate the flashlight in Bluetooth mode.
Note: The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. For optimal battery life, charge the unit for 6-8 hours before the first use.
Limited Product Warranty Policy
QFX, Inc. warrants the original purchaser that the Product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal, non-commercial use for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers parts and labor, but excludes shipping charges, which are the customer's responsibility.
This warranty does not cover:
- Misuse, abuse, immersion in liquids, improper installation, or improper shipping.
- Damage caused by disasters (fire, flood), or service performed by unauthorized personnel.
- Products with removed or altered serial numbers.
- Modifications or repairs made by anyone other than QFX or an authorized party.
- Damage due to power surges, incorrect voltage, or misconnections.
- Cosmetic damage from normal wear and tear.
- Shipping damage during transit.
- Damage from heat sources, sunlight, or adverse climatic conditions.
- Acts of God.
The product is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. QFX disclaims warranties for commercial or rental use, or any application where data stored on the product is critical for medical or life-saving purposes.
For warranty service, customers must contact the QFX Customer Support Department. Returns must be shipped prepaid with a dated sales receipt, a detailed description of the problem, customer contact information, and all original accessories. A cashier's check or money order for return shipping and handling must be included. Contact QFX Customer Support for credit card payments.
