Precautions
- For AC operation, check that the unit's operating voltage is identical with your local power supply (see specifications) and use the supplied AC power cord; do not use any other type. For battery operation, use only 4.5V DC with three D batteries.
- The nameplate indicating operating voltage, power consumption, etc., is located on the rear exterior.
- Disconnect the AC power cord from the wall outlet when not in use for an extended period.
- The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source as long as it's connected to the wall outlet, even if turned off.
- When not using internal batteries, remove them to prevent damage from leakage or corrosion.
- Do not leave the unit near heat sources, in direct sunlight, or in places subject to excessive dust, mechanical vibration, or shock.
- If a solid object or liquid falls into the unit, unplug it and remove batteries. Have the unit checked by qualified personnel before further operation.

- To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
- To avoid electrical shock, do not open the back. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
