⚠️ Non-compliance with these safety instructions can cause personal and material damage!
4 Use in Accordance with Prescriptions
Radio remote controls are only approved for devices and installations where radio-electrical interference from the transmitter or receiver does not endanger persons, animals, or materials, or where this risk is covered by other safety devices. Users must be informed that radio remote control of installations with a high accident risk should only be used, if at all, with direct visual contact to the installation and with no persons, animals, or objects in the movement zone. Hand-held transmitters must be stored so that unintentional activation, e.g., by children or animals, is excluded. Radio remote controls operate on authorized general frequencies (ISM bands). The operator of these radio remote controls is not protected against interference from other radio installations or devices (e.g., radio installations operating on the same frequency band, such as baby monitors, intercoms, etc.). Any other use beyond the prescribed use is considered non-compliant, and the manufacturer assumes no liability in such cases. The risk and responsibility lie with the fitter, installer, or operator.
5 Mounting Instructions
High internal temperatures due to direct sunlight reduce the service life. Water or insect ingress can cause control failure or destruction. To prevent damage to the control:
- Protect the control from the weather.
- Mount only with the housing.
- Use the mounting tabs for installation.
- To prevent housing deformation and sealing defects, mount on a flat surface; tighten screws only moderately.
- Do not mount outdoors.
5.1 Antenna Mounting
- Do not mount the antenna along conduits, metal bodies, or lighting devices!
- Do not attach the antenna end to or on metal objects.
- For optimal range, the antenna should be laid out in its full length.
5.2 Storage and Transport Conditions
Non-compliance can lead to failures, even after commissioning! Store protected from moisture, dust, and protect against impacts and falls. Storage temperature -20°C to +80°C with 30% to 80% relative humidity. Transport only with adequate, padded additional packaging. The existing packaging is not intended as transport packaging. Damage due to non-compliance is not covered by the warranty!
6 Control Elements / Indicators
The E30Q receiver features the following:
- 1 - LED "OUT": Flashes during programming. Indicates the channel status during operation (relay ON/OFF). Flickers during code deletion or when a signal from a programmed transmitter is received.
- 2 - "LEARN" Button: For programming and deleting transmitters (see page 7).
- 3 - LED "POWER": Flashes when the operating voltage is applied.
- 4 - Connection Terminals: For connecting the power supply and consumers.
- 5 - Antenna
7 Connection
⚠️ Mains voltage switching is not permitted. Only connect low-voltage consumers.
The connection must be made in accordance with local regulations, e.g., VDE, EVU, etc. Various consumers can be connected to the "K1" terminals (see technical specifications on page 12). Non-compliance leads to immediate destruction of the receiver and cancellation of the warranty!
Connection Diagram
The diagram shows the connection of the 12-24V AC/DC power supply and the output relay K1.
- Displays:
- LED POWER - operating indicator
- LED OUT - channel 1 output
- Connection terminals:

- 4-5: Normally closed contact of relay K1
8 Description of Functions
⚠️ When working on the control, ensure proper ESD grounding. Otherwise, the control may be damaged or destroyed.
Up to 25 codes (transmitter buttons) can be programmed. If 25 codes are already programmed in the receiver, no further codes will be programmed; previously programmed codes will not be lost. The first programmed transmitter determines the valid coding scheme. Only 12-bit, 18-bit, or Keeloq transmitters can be programmed. Thus, if the first recognized coding was, for example, 18-bit, only transmitters with 18-bit coding can subsequently be programmed. Once all transmitters are erased, another code can be programmed again. Each transmitter button can be assigned different operating modes. For example, any button can command "OFF only".
8.1 Operating Modes
- Impulse: The output switches as long as the selected transmitter button is pressed.
- Surge pulse: The output state changes with each press of the transmitter button.
- Uniquement marche / arrêt (ON/OFF only): The "ON" or "OFF" function is assigned to a transmitter button.
8.2 Programming a Transmitter Button

3x flash - pause 3x flash... flicker |
Uniquement arrêt | Briefly press the "LEARN" button 4x. Press the transmitter button for 3 seconds. |
4x flash - pause 4x flash... flicker |
If the radio signal is recognized, the "OUT" LED flickers and the output switches.
8.3 Code Deletion
Press the "LEARN" button until the "OUT" LED changes from "flashing" to "off". All programmed codes are erased! It is not possible to erase individual codes.
9 Remote Programming / Remote Deletion
In conjunction with the Q series hand-held transmitters, this function allows programming of additional transmitters or transmitter buttons, or deletion of already programmed codes without direct access to the receiver. A master transmitter handles the remote control. Furthermore, the S8Q group transmitter offers five group functions that can be assigned to different functions or end devices as desired. The sixth group function applies to all groups. This enables individual and group control of different devices.
QuickLearn - Standard
This is a simple method for programming an additional transmitter (transmitter button) into the receiver. Program a button: Allows assigning an additional transmitter (transmitter button) to the same channel and function as the master transmitter (master button).
QuickLearn - Group Functions
Additionally, the S8Q-..15.. has an extended QuickLearn function that provides additional functions.
- Program a button: Allows assigning an additional transmitter (transmitter button) to the same channel and function as the master transmitter (master button).
- Program a group: Allows assigning an additional transmitter (group) to the same channels and functions as the master transmitter (master button).
- Erase a button: A button code is erased.
- Erase a group: Erase one or all groups.
- Erase all except master: All transmitters and groups except the current master are erased.
Cancel the last programming procedure: The last programming procedure can be canceled within 5 minutes. A deletion procedure cannot be canceled.
A Q series hand-held transmitter is considered a master if it was programmed directly to the receiver using the LEARN button. A receiver can have multiple masters. If all transmitters except the master are erased, all masters except the current master are also erased. A deletion procedure using the LEARN button erases all codes; individual codes cannot be erased.
ℹ️ Transmitters with only the standard QuickLearn function, as masters, only have the button programming function. No deletion function, no group function.
