With gradient technology and flexible design, Dekala LightFlow™ linkable gradient lightstrip offers a powerful blend of colorful light in any shape for any decoration. Safety Instructions

1. Please use Dekala original plug to ensure offering safe power.
2. It is not waterproof. Do not mount or place near water or outdoor use.
3. Do not mount or place near gas or electric heaters, fireplaces, candles, or other similar sources of heat.
4. This is an electric product — not a toy! It should not be played with or placed where small children can reach it.
5. The LED light is not replaceable. When the light is damaged, the entire light strip should be replaced.
6. This light strip can not be cut, otherwise it will cause a short circuit or unstable performance.
7. Do not cover the product with cloth, paper, or any material not part of the product when in use.
8. Do not place near flammable objects.
9. Unplug the product when leaving the house, or when retiring for the night, or if left unattended.

Controller Details

The controller features a Control Knob for adjusting lighting speed and toggling effects. It has a Type-C Interface for connections, buttons for Decrease Brightness and Increase Brightness, and a MIC input.

Light Strip: Each light strip has a Type-C/F connector on one end and a Type-C/M connector on the other, with the "Neon Light" segment in between.

Physical Setup

Follow these steps for physical setup, using a "lightning" pattern as an example (dimensions in inches):

1. Clean the wall surface where the 3M sticker will be applied. Position the Type-C/M end of the light strip for power connection. Refer to guidelines for shaping the light strip position.
2. Peel off the sticker paper and adhere the light strip to the wall.
3. Choose appropriate positions for the mounting clips on the surface to secure the light strip.
4. Place subsequent light strips, ensuring the connecting distance between strips is no more than 9 inches.
5. Use provided adhesive cable clips to manage and organize the lead cable.
6. Connect the controller, light strip, and adapter using the 3in1 charging cable. Plug the adapter into a power source.

7 Interface Hub Application: For multi-strip configurations like the "Balloon" shape, connect multiple light strips to the 7 Interface Hub, which then connects to the power system.

Controller Operation

1. Turn on/off lighting: After plugging into power, press the control knob to turn on the lighting. Long press the control knob for 3 seconds to turn off the lighting.
2. Lighting Selection: After turning on the light, press the "Control Knob" to cycle through lighting modes such as Rainbow, Fire, Holiday, Firework, Spectrum, Chase, Breathe, Music, and Random. Double press the "Control Knob" to switch sub-modes.
3. Speed Adjustment: Turn the controller knob clockwise to increase lighting speed, and counter-clockwise to decrease lighting speed.
4. Brightness Adjustment: Press the "+" button to increase brightness. Press the "-" button to decrease brightness.

WiFi Connecting

1. Download the app: Download the "Dekala" app from the App Store or Google Play, or scan the provided QR code. Sign up and log in. Scan QR Code to Download App

Attention: Ensure GPS location, WiFi (2.4 GHz only), and Bluetooth are enabled before connecting the light strips to your WiFi network. You can then choose auto-search or manual connection.

Operating on the bars: After plugging in to power, long press the control knob for 5 seconds. The light strip will flash blue, indicating it is ready to connect to WiFi.

APP Guidance

1. Connect device to app: Open the "Dekala" app and click the "+" icon or "Add Device". The app will search for devices via Bluetooth; tap "Add" when your device appears.
2. Select WiFi: Choose your 2.4G WiFi network and enter the password.
3. Wait for connection: The app will show the device accessing the WiFi.
4. Complete: Tap "Done" once the device is added successfully.

Home Page Controls:

• Light switch: Toggle the ON/OFF switch.
• Lighting effects: Select from modes like Rainbow, Fire, Holiday, Firework, Spectrum, Chase, Breathe, Music, Random.
• Sub-mode selecting: Adjust within the current lighting effect.
• Brightness control: Use the slider to adjust brightness.
• Speed control: Use the slider to adjust speed.
• Wake-up light setting: Configure wake-up light times and modes. Note: If Music mode is chosen for wake-up, no sound during the alarm time will prevent the light from turning on.
• Sleep-aid: Configure sleep-aid settings.
• Time format setting: Switch between 24-hour system and network time synchronization.

Additional App Functions:

• Light switch and re-name: Click the switch to toggle lights. Click the icon to re-name the device for voice control.
• Lighting effects setting: Swipe to choose sub-modes for lighting effects. Adjust brightness and speed using sliders. Note: Speed adjustment may not work under "Color" mode.
• Wake-up light setting: Turn wake-up light on/off. Access detailed settings by tapping the "Wake-up" section. Click "<" to save and exit. The light turns off automatically at the set time. A "STOP" button can turn off the light, and another icon can deactivate the wake-up function.
• Sleep-aid setting: Turn sleep-aid light on/off and access detailed settings. Click "<" to save and exit.
• Time format setting: Access "Time Setting" to switch the 24-hour system and network time synchronization (recommended to keep enabled).
• Other setting: Access device information, Tap-to-Run and Automation, Third-party Control (e.g., Alexa), Device Offline Notification, Share Device, Create Group, FAQ & Feedback, Add to Home Screen, Check Device Network, Device Update, and Remove Device.

Voice Control

Alexa Connecting Setup Example:

1. Ensure the device is linked with the Dekala App.
2. Download the "Amazon Alexa" app, sign up, or open if already a user.
3. In the Alexa app, choose "Skills & Games", search for "Dekala", and tap "ENABLE TO USE".
4. Tap "Launch" and log in to Alexa Dekala using your Dekala app credentials. Tap "Agree and link".

Upon successful linking, you can control the device with Amazon Echo (Alexa). You can rename devices in the Dekala app, and Alexa will synchronize the new name.

Voice Control Demonstration:

You can rename device functions, and Alexa will recognize them as voice commands. Works with Alexa/Google smart home.

Attention: Minor delays may occur due to Wi-Fi speed or cloud processing. If the device or Alexa fails to respond, wait a few minutes and try again.

FAQ

1. The device cannot be connected to WiFi?
   • Place the router, device, and mobile phone in the same area.
   • Ensure your WiFi signal is strong (2.4 GHz network required).
   • To connect to a different smartphone or WiFi network, long-press the control knob to re-enter WiFi connecting mode.
   • Grant the app access to Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth on your cellphone.
2. App suddenly loses control over the device? (Could be network or device offline)
   • Ensure the device is powered on.
   • Check WiFi signal strength and confirm the device and smartphone are on the same WiFi (2.4 GHz only).
   • Open the Dekala app and stay on the home page for 3 minutes to check if the device is online.
   • Re-open the Dekala app and try again.
3. How to reset WiFi connection on the device?

   When the light is off, long-press the control knob until the blue light flashes to reset the WiFi connection.

4. Changes in setting on App don't sync with the device?
   • Check WiFi connection (2.4 GHz only).
   • Re-open the Dekala app and try again.
   • Check if the internet (WIFI) speed is slow.
5. Smartphone loses control over the device when under separated locations (different WiFi)?
   • Check WiFi connection (2.4 GHz only).
   • Restart the router and try connecting the device and your smartphone via the Dekala app again (ensure both are on the same WiFi, 2.4 GHz only).
