Product Overview

This document provides installation, service, and operating information for the Franke ICON kitchen faucet. It covers two main types: Swivel and Pull Out.

Faucet Types

The ICON faucet is available in two primary configurations:

• Type A: Swivel Tap Icon: Features a spout that can swivel up to 120 degrees.
• Type B: Pull Out Tap Icon: Features a pull-out spray head and a spout that can swivel up to 360 degrees.

Diagrams illustrate the swivel range (120° for Type A, 360° for Type B).

Maximum countertop thickness for installation is 40 mm for Type A and 45 mm for Type B.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for proper installation:

Step 1: Mounting the Faucet Body

Insert the faucet body through the pre-drilled hole (Ø35 mm or Ø33.5 mm) in the countertop. Ensure the countertop thickness does not exceed the maximum limit (40 mm for Swivel, 45 mm for Pull Out).

Step 2: Securing the Faucet

From underneath the countertop, attach the mounting kit (washers, nuts) to secure the faucet body firmly in place.

Step 3: Connecting Water Supply Hoses

Connect the flexible supply hoses (G3/8") to the corresponding hot and cold water valves. Ensure adequate clearance (Rmax ≥ 50 mm) and use appropriate tools (e.g., 19 mm, 13 mm wrenches) for tightening. A minimum distance of 60-70 mm is recommended for certain connections.

Step 4: Assembling Spout/Spray Head

For Swivel Faucet (Type A): Attach the spout and related components, ensuring proper sealing with washers and O-rings.

For Pull Out Faucet (Type B): Connect the pull-out hose to the faucet body and attach the spray head. Secure the hose with a weight (approx. 420 g) to ensure it retracts properly.

Step 5 & 6: Final Assembly

Complete the assembly of the spout, aerator, and any remaining components according to the diagrams. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular checks and proper cleaning will ensure the longevity of your faucet.

Periodic Checks

Periodically inspect the connection hoses and shower hoses for the following:

• ? Watertightness (ensure no leaks)
• ⚠️ Corrosion (check for rust or oxidation)
• ⚠️ Mechanical damage (look for signs of wear or breakage)

Important:

• Use only original spare parts.
• Replace damp, dripping, rusty, oxidized, or mechanically damaged hoses immediately.
• Flush all pipes thoroughly before installation.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean the faucet regularly using a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

Assembly Details and Torque Specifications

The faucet assembly involves several components. Pay attention to the following specifications:

• Torque: 8 N*m
• Specific component sizes: 2.5 mm, 20 mm
