Installation Guide
The following steps outline the general installation process. Refer to specific diagrams for detailed component placement and connections.
Step 1: Mounting the Faucet Body
The faucet body is mounted through a pre-drilled hole in the countertop, typically 35 mm in diameter. The faucet is secured from underneath.
Step 2: Securing the Faucet
The faucet is fixed in place using a mounting bracket and screws. A torque of 7 Nm is recommended for secure fastening.
Step 3: Installing the Control Unit and Hoses
The control unit is typically mounted below the sink. Specific dimensions are provided for placement: 300 mm from the wall, 115 mm spacing between components, and 30 mm from the edge of the mounting surface. Flexible hoses for hot and cold water are connected to the unit and the faucet body.
Step 4: Battery Installation
The control unit requires batteries. The diagrams show the process of opening the battery compartment, inserting batteries, and closing the compartment. A warning symbol indicates caution during this step.
Step 5: Water Connections
Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the respective inlets on the control unit. The diagrams show specific hose lengths (e.g., 1200 mm, 110 mm, 120 mm, 150 mm) and connection sizes (19 mm, UK: 23 mm). Warning symbols highlight potential issues with connections or clearances (e.g., Rmax ≥ 50 mm).
Step 6: Spray Head Maintenance (Variant C)
Diagrams illustrate the assembly and disassembly of the spray head for cleaning or maintenance. It shows the spray head components and how they fit together. Cleaning instructions advise using mild soap and avoiding abrasive cleaners.
Step 7: Final Assembly and Checks
Final assembly may involve tightening specific components like the spout nut (30 mm) and a small screw (2.5 mm). It is recommended to flush all pipes thoroughly before installation. Visit www.franke.com for more information.
