2.11.2 Technical Control and ECU
Before the start of the season, each motorcycle must have been on a dynamometer at a location designated by the Yamaha BLU CRU Cup organization. There, the motorcycle will undergo a power test, during which the mapping will be optimized so that all riders use the same mapping. The motorcycle will also be sealed.
For riders who have purchased a new motorcycle for the 2025 season from the Yamaha BLU CRU Cup organization, there are no costs involved.
Model year 2019-2025 and/or a motorcycle not supplied by the cup organization is permitted, provided it complies with the regulations.
From the 2024 season onwards, only original ECUs will be used. Model year 2023 or older must be modified by Ten Kate Racing, and the Cordona Quickshifter must be installed. The costs for this modification are borne by the participants.
Yamaha Benelux will provide an original ECU on loan if the rider does not possess an original ECU. Furthermore, a run will be made on the dynamometer at Ten Kate Racing to adjust and seal the mapping and ECU.
The unsealing of the motorcycles is only possible upon request of the rider to the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Cup organization and must only take place under the supervision of the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Cup organization. Any violation of this procedure will result in a deduction of championship points, earned from the moment the motorcycle was sealed. The decision of the Yamaha BLU CRU Cup organization is always binding.
Motorcycles may be tested on the dynamometer at any time as a spot check.
A technical violation of a sealed/marked machine will lead to a deduction of the rider's total points from the moment of sealing/marking. The decision of the Yamaha BLU CRU Cup organization is always binding.

Other fairings than the S2 Concept kit must comply with:
- The fairing must be an exact cosmetic copy of the original parts, but due to racing use, they may differ slightly (mix of different pieces, mounting points, fairing bottom, etc.).
- The use of carbon fiber or carbon composite materials is not permitted.
- Specific reinforcements in Kevlar® or carbon are locally permitted around holes and stressed areas.
The total size and dimensions must be the same as the original part, with a tolerance of +-5 mm. The design and characteristics of the homologated fairing should be adhered to as much as possible.
The total width of the frontal area may be a maximum of +5 mm.
The decision of the Head Technical Official of the organization is binding.
The lower fairing must be constructed in such a way that it can contain at least 4 liters in the event of an engine failure.
The windscreen may be replaced by an after-market product.
The height of the windscreen is free within a tolerance of +/- 15 mm relative to the vertical distance from/to the upper triple clamp.
The windscreen must comply with the same profile from the front as the original – no double bubble or wide types.

- Gear shifting and rear braking must be operated by foot.
- Footrests may be fixed or foldable. Foldable footrests must have a mechanism to return them to the normal position.
- The end of the footrest must have a solid ball radius of at least 8 mm. Non-foldable footrests must have a permanently attached end (plug), made of aluminum, plastic, Teflon®, or a similar type of material (minimum radius 8 mm).
The Head Technical Official of the organization has the right to refuse any footrest that does not meet this safety objective.
2.11.12 Safety Light Rear / Rain Light
- All motorcycles must have a functional red light mounted on the rear of the motorcycle.
- The light should only be switched on in the case of a 'wet' training/race or on the instruction of Race Control.
- The lighting must comply with the following:
- The direction of lighting must be parallel to the centerline of the machine (direction of travel of the motorcycle) and clearly visible from the rear, at least 15 degrees to both the left and right of the centerline of the machine.
- The rear light must be mounted near the end of the seat section on the machine.
- Output power/light intensity should be approximately: 10 – 15 W (incandescent lamps), 0.6 – 1.8 W (LED).
- The output must be continuous (no flashing safety light) on the track; flashing is permitted in the pit lane when the pit limiter is active.
