2.1.2 Technical Inspection and ECU

Every motorcycle must have been on a dynamometer at Ten Kate Racing. Only original ECUs, modified by Ten Kate Racing, will be used. At Ten Kate Racing, a run will be made on the dynamometer to check and adjust the mapping so that all riders use the same mapping. The motorcycle will then be sealed.

If the motorcycle has not yet been sealed or unsealed, it must be presented for inspection again by the rider.

There are no costs for riders who have purchased a new motorcycle for the 2025 season from the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization. In all other cases, the costs are borne by the rider.

A motorcycle not supplied by the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization is permitted, provided it complies with the regulations.

Unsealing of the motorcycles is only possible at the rider's request to the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization. Unsealing must only take place under the supervision of the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization or a member of the organizer's technical officials.

Any violation of this procedure will result in a deduction of championship points, earned from the moment the motorcycle is unsealed. In case of doubt about the moment of unsealing, the decision of the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization is binding.

At any time, motorcycles may undergo a spot check on the dynamometer or a technical inspection. A detected technical violation of a machine will lead to a penalty, which may include the forfeiture of all championship points, depending on the detected offense.

2.1.3 Cooling System

The only permitted liquid engine coolant is (distilled) water. Protective nets/mesh may be fitted to the radiator. The radiator fan may be removed.

2.1.4 Airbox

The air filter element may be replaced with a K&N filter, but it may not be removed and must be mounted in its original position. The rubber intake hose may be removed.

2.1.5 Fuel Supply

A fuel drain system may be fitted. Fuel lines from the fuel tank to the supply line may be replaced and must be fitted in a way that protects them from crash damage. Quick-release couplings or dry-break couplings may be used. Fuel vent lines may be replaced. Fuel filters may be added.

2.1.6 Brakes

Front and rear brake pads may be replaced. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) must be removed, and the GYTR ABS emulator supplied in the kit must be fitted. Brake caliper bolts may be replaced with brake caliper bolts that are already provided with locking. Note: only steel bolts are permitted. Locking of brake caliper bolts is not mandatory.

2.1.7 Handlebars and Controls

The clip-ons may be replaced with GYTR clip-ons. The master brake cylinder must remain original.

The use of a steering damper is permitted. The make and type of steering damper are free, as is the mounting material. It must be a sound product and the mounting must be carried out correctly, subject to the judgment of the Yamaha R7 BLU CRU Cup organization.

The throttle controls must be self-closing if not held by hand. The throttle body assembly and associated cables may not be modified or replaced. The connection to the throttle body and the throttle controls must remain as on the homologated motorcycle. The throttle control must be equipped with both an opening and a closing cable. Fitting a quick-action throttle is not permitted.

The seat foam is free. It is also permitted to position the seat further back for more space on the motorcycle.

2.1.10 Wheels

The wheels must comply with the original design in terms of color. Wheel axle spacers may be modified or replaced. Angled aluminum or steel valves are recommended.

2.1.11 Footrests and Brake/Shift Set

Footrests and rearsets must be replaced with the GYTR set. Gear shifting and rear braking must be operated by foot. Footrests may be fixed or foldable. Foldable footrests must have a mechanism to return them to the normal position. If a footrest is damaged and does not meet this safety requirement, the chief technical official of the organizer has the right to refuse its use. The end of the footrest must have a solid ball radius of at least 8 mm. Non-foldable footrests must have a permanently attached end (plug), made of aluminum, plastic, Teflon®, or a similar material (minimum radius 8 mm).

2.1.12 Rear Safety Light/Rain Light

All motorcycles must have a functional red light mounted at the rear of the motorcycle. It may only be switched on in the case of a 'wet' training/race or on the instruction of Race Control.

  • The direction of the lighting must be parallel to the centerline of the machine (direction of travel of the motorcycle) and clearly visible from the rear, at least 15 degrees to both the left and right of the centerline of the machine.
  • The rear light must be mounted near the end of the seat section on the machine.
  • Output power/brightness corresponds to approximately 10 – 15 (incandescent bulbs), 0.6 – 1.8 W (LED).
  • On the track, the output must be continuous (no flashing safety light), flashing is permitted in the pit lane when the pit limiter is active.
  • The power supply for the safety lighting may be separated from the motorcycle.

In case of a difference of opinion regarding the mounting position or visibility, the decision of the chief technical official of the organizer is final.

2.1.13 Fuel and Fuel Tank

Only regular unleaded gasoline available at public gas stations according to DIN standard EN228 with a maximum octane rating of 102 RON may be used. The use of special racing fuels and/or any fuel additives is not permitted, even if they comply with FIM fuel regulations. The fuel tank must be completely filled with explosion-proof material such as Explosafe.

2.1.14 Chain/Sprockets

Secondary drive sprockets are free, the chain size may be changed to a 520 size.

2.1.15 Suspension

The front fork parts must remain original, with the exception of the piston kit, shim stack, fork oil, and fork springs, which may be changed according to preference. The oil seals that ensure the sealing of the inner and outer tubes are free. The rear shock absorber must be replaced with the type described in the GYTR kit.

2.1.16 Securing and Technical Controls

The oil filter, oil plug, and oil drain plug must be secured at all times. The lower fairing must be equipped with a plug(s) that can be removed in case of rain.

2.1.17 Design

The design and sticker set of all motorcycles must be the same, according to a uniform appearance:
