Installation

Position

The appliance is designed to be built under the counter or stand alone.

Demonstration for building under the counter:

A diagram shows the required dimensions for built-in installation, indicating minimum heights and widths.

Wine bottles can be stored once the appliance has been operating for about 1 hour and the interior is cool.

Description of the appliance

The wine cooler consists of the following parts:

Accessories & name

Note: Shelves, door frame, handle, and other accessories may differ based on model and configuration. Photos are for reference only.

Installing the handle and reversing the door of wine cooler

  1. Install handle: Attach the handle to the door frame using the provided screws.
  2. Reversing the door: The wine cooler is delivered with the door opening from left to right. To reverse the opening direction:
    • Open the door to 90 degrees.
    • Unscrew the two screws from the right lower hinge.
    • Carefully remove the door from the lower hinge and then from the top hinge. Remove the lower hinge plate.
    • Unscrew the top right hinge and right lower hinge from the cabinet.
    • Install the top left hinge and left lower hinge to the left side of the cabinet.
    • Turn the door 180 degrees upside down. Insert the lower hinge plate into the bottom door axis hole. Fit the top door axis hole to the top left hinge and place the lower hinge plate onto the left lower hinge.
    • Screw the left lower hinge with the plate. Door reversing is finished.

Operation

Start operation

  1. Cleaning: Clean the interior and check the drainage pipe. Refer to "Maintenance and cleaning" for details.
  2. Positioning: Ensure the appliance is level on a firm & dry floor for at least 30 minutes before powering on.
  3. Power on: The appliance will start operation and cool down within 1 hour. Check power connection if not.

Control panel

The control panel features several buttons: ON/OFF, Light, Zone switch, UP, Down, and Child Lock.

Fahrenheit/Celsius display interchange

Press and hold the key for 2 seconds to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius display.

Attention

  1. Temperature range: 5-22°C for both zones. The lower zone temperature must be equal to or higher than the upper zone.
  2. Alarm sound: Press any key to cancel alarm sound during system malfunction.
  3. Temperature sensor failure: Error codes E1-E6 indicate sensor failures (open circuit or short circuit).
  4. Climate Class: The appliance is intended for use within specific ambient temperature ranges: Extended temperate (10-32°C), Temperate (16-32°C), Subtropical (16-38°C).

Wine storage

The appliance has shelves designed for wine storage. Full shelves can hold up to 46 bottles (standard Bordeaux, 750ml).

Loading capacity: Varies by bottle arrangement and size. It is recommended to place 1 or 2 layers of bottles per shelf. More than 2 layers are not recommended. Shelves can be pulled out for easier storage. Open the door fully before pulling out shelves.

If the wine cooler is not used for a long time, power it off, clean it, and leave the door open for ventilation.

Recommended temperature for wine storing & drinking:

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
Appliance makes noise Adjust front foot for leveling. Keep space from walls.
Liquid flowing sound Normal due to refrigerant. Keep space from walls.
Appliance does not start Ensure proper power connection and switch is on. Compressor restarts after 5 minutes following a power cut.
Compressor runs continuously Call after-sales service if no cooling.
Door does not seal tightly Door seal may be stiff or distorted. Heat the seal with a hot-wind blower or hot towel, then close the door.
Appliance does not cool sufficiently Adjust temperature setting. Keep away from sunlight or heat. Do not open the door frequently.
Unpleasant smells inside cabinet A slight plastic smell is normal for new appliances and will disappear. Clean and ventilate the compartment.
Condensate on the glass door Do not open the door frequently. Do not set temperature too low. High ambient temperature and humidity can cause condensation.
Light is not working Check power supply. Contact retailer's after-sales service if the light is broken.

Maintenance and cleaning

Cleaning

The following items will damage the surface of the wine cooler:

? Alkaline detergent. ? Organic solvents. ? Brushes. ? Boiling water.

Power cut

To protect wines during a power cut, avoid opening the door. For long power cuts, take necessary measures.

Out of service for long time

Remove all bottles, unplug, clean the appliance thoroughly inside and out, and store properly.

Wait at least five minutes before re-starting after disconnection or power cut.

  4. Product height can be increased to 870mm by adjusting the feet.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Do not dismantle the appliance in a way not shown in the manual. At the end of its life, the appliance should not be disposed of with household waste. Check with your Local Authority for recycling advice.

This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Proper disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

12 Month Warranty

Covers Parts & Labour for 12 months from the Date of Purchase. Repairs are free of charge if the appliance has been used and maintained according to the terms and conditions. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.

Two-year Warranty

Register your new appliance with Shomar Ltd to avail of the second year free warranty. Registration also allows Shomar Ltd to contact you if modifications are required. Registration serves as proof of purchase in case of insurance loss (theft, fire, flood).

Does PowerPoint offer replacements?

This is a repair-only warranty. In rare cases, the manufacturer may replace the product at its discretion. If the appliance cannot be repaired, it will be replaced free of charge. Costs for disconnecting and installing replacement products are not covered unless agreed in writing. The original warranty applies to the replacement product.
