Caution & Maintenance
- Always fully charge the battery before use. It is advised to charge at least 4 hours.
- Use the standard USB cable and 5Vdc, 2A charger plug to charge the camera on a wall socket.
- It is better to power off the camera manually for stable & quick charging.
- Do not expose the camera or battery to a high/low-temperature environment. If the battery leaks or bulges, stop using it. Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type.
- Never replace the battery on your own. It may cause damage or an explosion. Please contact the seller if the battery has any problem.
- Do not put the screen or lens under direct sunshine.
- Never dismantle, crush, or pierce the product, or allow the product to short-circuit. Seek professional assistance if the product doesn't work properly.
- If you do not use the camera for a while, please charge it periodically, otherwise, the battery of the camera will be damaged slowly.
- Maintenance Your Camera: To clean the lens and the screen, wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not insert foreign objects around the lens. Do not use liquids.
Part 1: Structure Diagram
The body camera has various components labeled with numbers. Below is a description of each part:
- 1. Red Laser: Used for aiming or indicating.
- 2. Image Sensor: Captures visual information.
- 3. Four IR Lights: Infrared lights for night vision.
- 4. Microphones: Capture audio.
- 5. White Flash Light/Illuminator: Provides illumination.
- 6. Speaker Output: For audio playback or alerts.
- 7. Playback Button/Up Button/Rewind: Controls playback and navigation.
- 8. OK/Confirm Button/Laser Active Button: Confirms selections and activates the laser.
- 9. Menu/Down Button/Fast Forward: Navigates menus and controls playback speed.
- 10. Mini USB Connection Port: For charging and data transfer.
- 11. Type-C Connection Port: For charging and data transfer.
- 12. Reset Hole/External Lens Connection Port (Customized): For resetting the device or connecting an external lens.
- 13. Video Mark/Alarm Sound Active Buttons: Used for marking videos or activating alarm sounds.
- 14. Audio Button: Initiates audio recording.
- 15. Photo Button/White Flash Light Active Button: Takes photos or activates the white illuminator.
- 16. Video Button: Initiates video recording.
- 17. Power Button/Return Key: Powers the device on/off and acts as a return key in menus.
- 18. Charging Indicator Light: Shows charging status.

Part 3: Quick Setup
3.1 Charge the Camera
To charge the camera, use a standard USB cable and a 5Vdc, 2A charger plug. Full charging takes approximately 4-5 hours with the provided fast charger.
Charging Methods:
- Method 1: Use the standard 5Vdc, 2A charger plug and Mini USB cable to connect to a power socket.
- Method 2: Charge the camera in the provided charging dock.
Note: The camera may boot automatically when plugged in. For optimal charging, turn it off manually. Charging can be done via the Mini USB or Type-C Connection Port.
Indicator Lights during Charging:
- Charging Indicator Light: Steady Red while charging, turns Green when fully charged.
- Working Indicator Light: Steady Green when charging if the camera is powered on.
Charging Dock Indicator:
- Power Indicator of Dock Station: Steady Red when connected to power.
3.2 Power On/Off/Standby Mode
3.2.1 Power On/Off
Long press the [Power Button] [?] to boot the camera. Long press again to power off the device.
3.2.2 Standby Mode/Screen Save
In the power-on state, the Working Indicator Light stays green. In standby mode, short press the [Menu Button] [M] to enter menu settings. The "Screen Saver" option can be configured to turn off the screen after 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes of inactivity. Tap any button to wake the display.
3.3 Video Recording
3.3.1 Normal Video Recording
In standby, short press the [Video Button] [?] to start recording. A red video icon flashes on the screen, and the Working Indicator Light flashes red. Short press again to stop recording and save. Files are named by date/time and saved in MP4 format.
3.3.2 One Key to Video Recording
In powering off status, long pressing the [Video Button] [?] activates the camera and starts video recording. Short press again to stop and save.
3.3.3 Video Locked
During video recording, short press the [Alarm/Mark Button] [⭐] to mark/lock the video. A lock icon appears on screen. Pressing it again releases the lock. Press the [Video Button] [?] to save this locked video file.
Video Mode Indicator: Working Indicator Light: Flashing Red.
3.4 Take Photo
3.4.1 Single Shot:
In standby mode, short press the [Photo Button] [?] once. The Working Indicator Light flashes green once. Photos are saved in JPG format, named by date/time.
3.4.2 Snapshot:
During video recording, short press the [Photo Button] [?] to take a snapshot. Each press takes one photo.
Photo Mode Indicator: Working Indicator Light: Flashes green once with each press.
3.5 Audio Recording
3.5.1 Normal Audio Recording:
This model can record separate audio files. In standby, short press the [Audio Button] [?] to record audio. The screen displays a microphone logo, and the Working Indicator Light flashes yellow. Short press again to stop recording and save. Audio files are saved in WAV format, named by date/time.
3.5.2 One Key to Audio Recording:
In powering off status, long pressing the [Audio Button] [?] activates the camera and starts audio recording. Short press again to stop and save.
Audio Mode Indicator: Working Indicator Light: Flashing Yellow.
3.6 Night Vision
The infrared night vision is set to "Manual" by default. A short press of the [IR Button] [?] turns night vision on/off in standby or video mode. For automatic night vision, set "Infrared Switch" to "Auto" in the menu settings.
3.7 Playback Files on Camera
After recording, enter the Playback Files Page to review them. In standby mode, short press the [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||] to enter playback. Use the [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||], [OK Button] [OK], or [Menu/Down Button] [M] to select files. Short press the [Power/Return Button] [?] to return or exit.
In playback or menu setting, buttons function as:
- [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||]: Up Button
- [Menu/Down Button] [M]: Down Button
- [OK/Confirm Button] [OK]: Confirm Key
- [Power/Return Button] [?]: Return Key
Playback File Types: Video, Photo, Audio.
3.8 File Deletion
In the Recorded Files Page, select files using the [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||] / [OK Button] [OK] / [Menu/Down Button] [M]. Long press the [Menu/Down Button] [M] to access delete options. Short press [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||] / [OK Button] [OK] / [Menu/Down Button] [M] to select and confirm deletion.
Note: Locked or marked videos cannot be deleted on the camera itself.
3.9 Connect to Computer
Connect the camera to a computer using the USB cable. The camera will enter "Mass Storage" mode, appearing as a removable disk. In this mode, the camera cannot record videos or perform other operations.
Note: If "Password Protect" is enabled, you will need to enter the set password (default: 000000) to review or delete files.
The computer will display folders such as DCIM, MOVIE, PHOTO, and WAV.
3.10 Reset
If the camera locks up or stops working, poke the reset button with a pin or thimble (avoid excessive force). The camera will shut down automatically. Long press the [Power Button] [?] to turn it back on.
Part 4: GPS Function
When the "GPS" option is turned on during video recording, route information is collected. This data can be played back using the provided GPS player.
Enabling GPS:
- In standby mode, short press the [Menu Button] [M] to enter the menu.
- Navigate to the "GPS" option using the [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||] and [Menu/Down Button] [M].
- Press [OK Button] [OK] to confirm.
- Select "On" using the [OK Button] [OK] and [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||], then press [OK Button] [OK] again to save.
After enabling, a white GPS icon will appear on the top right corner of the screen. When the GPS is successfully located in an open area, the icon turns green [?️].
GPS Signal Status: A number '0' indicates no signal; '1' or above indicates signal acquisition. The screen displays GPS information including coordinates and signal strength.
Note: GPS signal may be weakened in viaducts, tunnels, or areas with metal shielding. For optimal data collection, use the camera in an open area.
4.1 Playback GPS Videos on Computer
The GPS player is compatible with Windows computers only. Download the player from the manufacturer's website.
Method 1: Connect the camera to the computer, find the "GXPlayer Installer Package" on the camera's U disk, copy it to your desktop, and run the installer.
Method 2: Download the "B4K4 GPS Player Download- GXPlayer" software from boblov.com/pages/download. Unzip the downloaded file and run "sunning.exe" to open the player.
Note: If your computer alerts about a potential virus, it is usually a false positive due to an unfamiliar file. The file is safe.
4.2 GPS Player Interface Introduction
The GPS player interface includes:
- Video Playback Controls: [Play Button] [▶️], [Pause Button] [⏸️], [Next Video Button] [▶️▶️], [Stop Playing Button] [⏹️].
- File Selection: Click to choose video files on your computer.
- Screenshot: [Screenshot Icon].
- Image Rotation: [Rotate Icon].
- File List: Double-click files to replay.
- Compass: [Compass Icon].
- Moving Speed: Displays speed information.
4.3 GPS Player Setting Page
Click the settings icon [⚙️] in the top right corner to access settings. Here you can set the language and choose the map type (e.g., Google Map). Ensure playback is stopped before changing map settings.
Part 5: Car Mode
Car Mode enables automatic recording when the camera is connected to the vehicle's 12Vdc power port and the engine starts.
Enabling Car Mode: In standby mode, navigate to the menu and set "Car Mode" to "On".
The camera comes with a Suction Dash Camera Mount and a Car Charger for windshield mounting.
Note: The suction mount works best on clean, smooth glass surfaces. It may not adhere firmly to rough or frosted glass.
Installation:
- Attach the Car Bracket to the B4K4 Camera.
- Lock the snap and secure the camera onto the windshield.
Part 6: Features You May Concern
6.1 Time & Date Setting
There are two methods for setting the time and date:
Manually Setting (when "GPS" option is Off):
- Enter the Menu and find the "Date/Time" option.
- Set the local date and time, then save.
Sync Auto (when GPS option is On):
- Enter the Menu, find the "Time Zone" option, set it to your local time zone, and save. (e.g., GMT-08 for the US).
- Turn on the "GPS" option in the menu. Once GPS is located successfully (white GPS icon turns green [?️]), the camera's date & time will sync to the correct local time.
Note: Use GPS in an open place for reliable signal acquisition.
6.2 One Button to Quick Switch Resolution
In standby mode, long press the [Audio Button] [?] to quickly change video resolution without entering the menu. This feature cannot be used while recording videos/audios.
Note: This function is available for 1440P, 1296P30, 1080P, and 720P resolutions. For 2160P, manual adjustment in the menu is required.
6.3 Loop Recording
If "Loop Recording" is enabled (defaults to On), when storage is full, the device will overwrite old files. This does not affect marked/locked videos.
Video recording is saved as clips/fragments to prevent damage to large files. Video Length can be set to 5mins, 10mins (default), or 15min.
6.4 Camera Password
The "Password Protect" option is available in the menu settings. To enable it, enter the default password: 000000, then select "On" and confirm.
If you forget the password, email support@boblov.com for assistance.
After enabling password protection, you will need to verify the password when connecting to a computer, entering the menu, or accessing playback files. For new cameras, use the default password; for changing an existing password, use the old password.
6.5 Rewind/ Fast Forward
When playing back video files, short press the [Playback/Up Button] [▶️||] to rewind and the [Menu/Down Button] [M] to fast forward. Short pressing either button once increases the speed by two times. Fast forward and rewind speeds can be adjusted from 2X to 128X.

Part 8: Alarm Sound & Lights
8.1 White Flash Light
After powering on, long press the [Photo Button] [?] to turn the White Flash Light on/off.
8.2 Alarm Sound
In standby or during video recording, long press the [Alarm/Mark Button] [⭐] to turn the Alarm Sound on/off. This acts as an alarm function in urgent circumstances.
8.3 White Illuminator
In standby or during video recording, long press the [IR Button] [?] to turn the White Illuminator on/off.
8.4 Red Laser
After powering on, long press the [OK/Confirm Button] [OK] to turn on the Red Laser, which emits a beam to locate the shooting direction. Long press the [OK/Confirm Button] [OK] again to turn it off.
Note: If "Silent Mode" is enabled in the menu, the camera will disable Alarm Sound, White Flash Light, Red Laser, and White Illuminator, entering a hidden recording status with no indicators or sound prompts.

Part 11: Troubleshooting
Q: The camera doesn't power on or stops working.
A:
- Connect the charger and USB cable to charge the camera and check if the problem is solved after 4 hours of charging.
- Check if the charger and USB cable are operating correctly.
- Connect the device to a wall socket, then press the power button to check if it powers on.
- Use a pin to reset the camera and power it on again.
- If the problem persists, contact customer service for further help.
Q: A video or audio file cannot be played? Or no sound for videos?
A:
- Check the menu and ensure the "Record Audio" option is turned on.
- It is recommended to play back videos/audio using a VLC media player on the computer.
Q: The camera display is showing red/green.
A:
- Turn the night vision on and off using the [IR Button] [?] to check again.
- Reset the camera and power it on to check.
Q: Why does the LCD screen turn off automatically?
A: The camera enters "Screen Saver" mode by default after 5 minutes of inactivity. To keep the display on, set the "Screen Saver" option to Off in the menu. Options include 1min, 3min, 5min (default), 10 min, Off.
Q: Why does the camera shut off automatically?
A: Check if the "Auto Power Off" option in the menu is On. To keep the camera powered on, set "Auto Power Off" to Off. Options include 1mins, 5min, 10min (default), Off.
Q: I use a MacBook, can I use the GPS player?
A: The GPS player for the B4K4 body camera is only suitable for Windows computers.
Q: Why the 4K video can't be opened on the computer?
A: 4K video uses the H265 codec. Standard Windows media players may not support this format. Use a compatible player like VLC media player.
Q: I forgot my password, how to reset it?
A: Email support@boblov.com to request the universal password to restore the camera password.
Q: I lost the clips, can I get the replacement part?
A: For spare accessories or replacement parts, contact the after-sale service at support@boblov.com.
