Important Note on Charging and Operation
Ensure the watch is fully charged before use. The charge level is indicated by the function hand in time mode: Level 2 for maximum charge, Level 1 for normal operation, and 'NG' for insufficient charge for diving. Avoid charging with halogen lights or in high temperatures (over 140°F / 60°C) as this can damage the watch. If the watch shows low charge, 'over-zone', or malfunctions, an ALL RESET AND 0-POSITIONING PROCEDURE is required.
ALL RESET AND 0-POSITIONING PROCEDURES
- Unscrew the crown to release it and pull it out two 'clicks'.
- Simultaneously push and hold the upper right button (B) and the lower right button (A) for 2-3 seconds, then release. This resets the movement.
- Press the upper right button (B) to set the function and mode hands to the 0 or 12:00 position.
- Set the time if necessary.
- Return the crown to its position next to the case and screw it in to secure it.
Note: After an ALL RESET, the function hand may indicate 'NG' charge for about an hour before returning to normal indication.
Changing Modes
- To switch to chronograph mode from normal time display (or Dive mode), press and hold the lower right button (A) for 3 seconds. The mode and function hands will move to the 0-position.
- To switch back to normal time display mode from chronograph mode, press and hold the lower right button (A) for 3 seconds.
- The watch automatically switches to dive standby mode when the water sensor becomes wet.
- To switch back to time mode after diving, press and hold the upper right button (B) for 3 seconds.
- To view the maximum depth memory of the last dive, press the upper right button (B) while in time or dive mode. The depth indicator hand will point to the deepest point. Press and release the upper right button (B) again to return the depth indicator hand to its previous position.
Setting the Time
- Unscrew the crown by turning it counterclockwise.
- Pull the crown out two 'clicks' to set the Hour and Minute hands. Turn the crown to move the hands forward to the correct time, observing the 24-hour hand for AM/PM accuracy.
- Push the crown in to finalize the setting.
Setting the Date
- After setting the time (and ensuring the 24-hour hand is correctly set for AM/PM), pull the crown out one 'click' (intermediate position).
- Rotate the crown counterclockwise to set the date.
- Once time and date are set, push the crown in against the case. While applying pressure, turn the crown clockwise until it is screwed tightly against the case.
Using the Chronograph
- To switch to chronograph mode from normal time display, hold the lower right button (A) down for 3 seconds. The function hand becomes the chronograph sweep second hand, and the mode indicator becomes the minute register hand. The small second hand shows actual running seconds.
- Press and release the upper right button (B) to start or stop the chronograph.
- When stopped, press the lower right button (A) to reset all hands to the 0-position. If any hand does not reset correctly, refer to the ALL RESET PROCEDURE.
- To return to normal time display mode from chronograph mode, press and hold the lower right button (A).
Note: The chronograph does not operate simultaneously with time or dive mode. Switching modes from chronograph will delete recorded data.
Using the Depth Meter
- Before diving, ensure the 'screw lock' crown is tightened securely against the case.
- The watch automatically switches to dive standby mode when the water sensor gets wet. The mode hand will move to 'DV', and the depth indicator hand will move to '0' feet. If this does not occur, perform the ALL RESET PROCEDURE.
- To read the maximum depth recorded for the last dive (after removing all moisture from the watch exterior), press the upper right button (B) while in time or dive mode. The depth indicator hand will point to the maximum depth.
- Press the upper right button (B) again to return to the previous mode.
Important Considerations:
- The depth meter and chronograph cannot be used simultaneously.
- Use the elapsed time indicator (ETI) bezel ring to track elapsed dive time.
- The maximum depth measurement is 125 feet. If this depth is exceeded, the depth indicator hand will rest on the 'over-zone' mark until the diver returns to 125 feet or less.
- Always dive with a buddy. This watch is not a substitute for a dive partner.
- Ensure the power level indicator is at Level 1 or 2 before diving.
*Level 2 indicates maximum charge and can last 3-8 hours depending on light source and watch usage.
