Thank you for choosing MELING BIOMEDICAL products! For safe and convenient use and proper maintenance, please read this user manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
Operators may copy certain chapters of this manual for internal use, such as instructing users on emergency procedures. These chapters are clearly marked in the manual.
MELING BIOMEDICAL is not responsible for any damage to the device caused by improper use or use not in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Due to rapid product development, features described in this manual may differ from your purchased product. Please refer to the physical product.

- Avoid strong vibrations or impacts during transport or use. Protect the unit from rain.
- The combined refrigerator and freezer should only be operated by trained and authorized personnel.

Warning: Dry any water stains around the seal after each access to prevent freezing.
Tip: Wear protective gloves when storing items in the unit to prevent frostbite.
- Always use protective equipment (clothing, gloves, goggles, etc.) correctly.
- Maintain good hygiene practices.
- Each employee is responsible for their own safety.
- Keep all ventilation openings clear.
- Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting.
- Do not damage the refrigeration circuit.
- Do not use electrical appliances in food/ice compartments unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
2. Safety Instructions
When using this product for the first time, pay attention to the following warnings and safety precautions for safe and correct operation.

- The unit must be grounded.
- Do not place the unit at an angle.
- Beware of electric shock.
- Caution: Fire hazard/flammable materials.
- Caution: Hand crushing hazard.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Beware of low temperatures.
- This unit is a precision instrument.
- Warning: Fire hazard/flammable substances.

- Do not touch the unit with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
- Do not ground the unit via gas pipes, water pipes, telephone lines, or lightning rods, as this may lead to electric shock.
- Installation should only be performed by professional technicians or service personnel to avoid electric shock or fire.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a firm, level surface and is stable to prevent tipping.
- Handle the power cord carefully to avoid short circuits or open circuits. Turn off the unit before unplugging. Pull the plug firmly, do not pull the wires. Failure to do so may cause electric shock or fire due to a short circuit.
- Do not bundle the power cord, do not clamp it under furniture or heavy objects, and keep it away from heat sources like compressors.
- Plug the power cord firmly into the socket for stability and reliability. Ensure the power cord is accessible for emergency unplugging.
- Use dedicated sockets that are reliably grounded. The copper conductor cross-section in the wall connected to the outlet must be more than 4 mm².
- Do not extend the power cord without authorization to avoid overheating or fire.
- Do not use a power supply not specified for the unit to avoid overheating, short circuits, and other failures. Connecting 110V devices to a 220V power supply can cause overheating and burns. Refer to the technical data for the correct AC input voltage (nominal voltage ±10%). If the operating voltage is too low or too high, install a suitable automatic voltage stabilizer.
- Please place the unit stably and avoid vibration.
- Do not place the unit in hazardous areas or near flammable objects to avoid explosion or fire.
3. Precautions for Use
- Ventilation openings and drains are located on the bottom of the unit. Do not place objects on the floor of the cabinet.
- Do not place the unit in direct sunlight or rain to avoid hazards like short circuits or overheating.
- Do not tilt or lay the unit on its side, and do not bump the housing, as the cooling system is installed inside and can be easily damaged by tilting or impacts.
- Place the unit in a dry, dust-free environment to avoid risks like overheating and short circuits.
- If unexpected noises, odors, or smoke occur during operation, unplug the unit immediately and contact the manufacturer or supplier.
- Place the unit in a dry and well-ventilated area, ensuring that ventilation openings and surfaces are not blocked by walls or other objects.
- Do not disassemble or modify the unit without authorization, as MELING BIOMEDICAL is not responsible for any safety risks or quality issues.
- Do not store flammable, explosive, highly corrosive acids, alkalis, or other unsuitable items in the unit.
- When storing toxic, harmful, or radioactive substances, use the units in safe areas. Improper use can harm human health or the environment.
- Do not insert metal objects like nails or iron wires into the openings or slots, as this can cause electric shock or injury from contact with moving parts.
- To ensure normal operation, ventilation, and heat dissipation, maintain a distance of at least 30 cm from the wall on the back, left, and right sides of the unit. Ensure air inlets and outlets are not blocked.
- The unit must be connected to a grounding wire.
- Note: Failure to comply with precautions may lead to personal injury or equipment failure and associated property damage.
- Do not store live animals, flowers, or other items with strict temperature requirements in the unit.
- Do not touch the inner surface of the unit without protective clothing while it is operating.
- Hold the handle firmly and close the door to avoid pinching your fingers. If the unit will not be used for a long time, unplug it and store it properly.
- When restarting the unit after a power failure or shutdown, check the unit settings first, as incorrect settings may damage stored data.
- The unit is for storing items, not for production.
- Keep keys safe to prevent accidents if children accidentally open the door.
- Ensure the unit does not tip over during use to avoid damage or injury.
- When handling, lift the unit from the bottom, with a tilt angle not exceeding 45°, and handle with care. Use the unit in safe environments. Improper use can harm human health or the environment.
4. Product Installation
4.1 Installation Environment
- Ambient Temperature: 16°C ~ 32°C (ideal: 18°C ~ 25°C). Air conditioning may be used if necessary.
- Relative Humidity: ≤80% RH.
- The environment should be free from strong vibrations and corrosive gases.
- Avoid excessive dust.
- Do not rock or shake the unit.
- Operating Altitude: Less than 2000 m.
- Indoor use, Pollution Degree 2, Overvoltage Category II.
- Refer to technical data for AC input voltage (nominal voltage ±10%).
- Avoid direct sunlight, heat/cold sources, and strong electromagnetic interference that could affect the control system.
4.2 Installation Location
For normal operation and optimal performance, the installation location must meet the following requirements:
- Do not install in a narrow or enclosed space. The door of the room must be large enough to allow passage of the unit, facilitating maintenance in case of failure and preventing damage to stored items if the unit cannot be repaired promptly.
- The installation floor must be firm, level, and non-combustible, capable of supporting the unit's weight.
- Ensure good ventilation and avoid direct sunlight.
- Check the operating voltage. In areas with unstable voltage, use a suitable voltage stabilizer. Consult customer service if unsure.
- Operating Altitude: Less than 2000 m.
- The unit must be reliably grounded. Check the socket's grounding wire. If not present, professional installation is required.
Caution: Ambient temperature significantly affects the unit. If environmental conditions are not met, the unit may not function properly. Improve the environment before use. The unit may operate intermittently.
4.3 Preparation Before Use
- Remove all product packaging (including protective foam).
- Warning: Keep plastic bags out of reach of children to prevent suffocation.
- Check accessories against the packing list.
- Clean the product once before use.
4.4 First Power-On
Follow these steps for the first power-on:
- After installation, leveling, and cleaning, let the unit stand for more than 24 hours before turning it on to ensure normal operation.
- Connect the power cord to a suitable socket.
- Turn on the unit's power switch.
- Check if the operating temperature reaches the set value. Monitor the unit's normal on/off cycles for over 24 hours. Load a small quantity of items after confirming normal performance.
- Load items in batches, not exceeding 1/3 of the cabinet volume at a time. Ensure the unit operates normally after a standstill of more than 12 hours before loading the next batch.
- Avoid opening the door during the cooling process to prevent temperature increase.
4.5 Operation After Power Failure
- The unit has a set value memory function. It will resume operation as before the power failure when power is restored.
- Wait 5 minutes after turning off the unit before turning it back on to prevent compressor damage.
- MELING BIOMEDICAL guarantees normal operation under specific conditions but is not responsible for loss or damage to stored items due to power failure.
Notes:
- Transport and movement are facilitated by rollers.
- A designated person must be responsible for daily checks and recording of the unit's operating status (checks every 2-4 hours).
- In case of failure or shutdown, the temperature in the storage chamber will rise. If it cannot be repaired promptly, remove stored items and place them in a suitable environment to prevent damage.
- Before loading items, verify that the unit's temperature range matches the items' requirements to prevent damage. Ensure air outlets and inlets are not blocked when loading items.
- A slight difference between the displayed temperature and the set temperature is normal due to cooling inertia.
- This unit is for storage only and not for routine production.
- Do not load too many hot items at once, as this can cause the compressor to run for extended periods and overheat. Load items gradually to allow the storage space to cool down.
- Do not use electrical appliances without manufacturing approval inside the unit.
- Do not frequently change the set temperature in a short time, as temperature inertia may affect the expected results. Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit, especially do not block the temperature sensor.
- Do not place items directly on the unit's floor; use the lowest shelf to ensure proper cooling.
- The humidity of the items can affect the humidity inside the cabinet. Store items in sealed containers. The ambient humidity also affects the cabinet's humidity, especially if the door is opened frequently or not closed properly.
Warning: Do not let children play with this unit as a toy; any resulting injuries or losses are at their own risk.
5. Component Composition
The product consists of the cabinet body, door, cooling system, and control system.
Component Diagrams:
- YCD-EL300: Features a control panel, door handle, door lock, cabinet body, and universal casters.
- YCD-FL289 (also reference for YCD-FL519): Features a display control panel, optional printer, glass door, door handle, door lock, and universal casters.
- YCD-EL450 (also reference for YCD-EL450 and YCD-FL450): Features a display control panel, door, door handle, door lock, and universal casters.
Specifications:
- YCD-FL289: 6 shelves, 21 kg capacity per shelf.
- YCD-EL300: 6 shelves, 23 kg capacity per shelf.
- YCD-EL450/YCD-FL450: 6 shelves, 29 kg capacity per shelf.
- YCD-FL519: 6 shelves, 34 kg capacity per shelf.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Introduction to Functions
The product series offers two types of control systems with different setting methods. Select the appropriate method based on your unit's control system.
Control Panel Type A (for YCD-EL300):
- a. Temperature Display (Refrigerator): Shows the average temperature in the refrigerator chamber (°C). Displays prompts during setting mode.
- b. Temperature Display (Freezer): Shows the average temperature in the freezer chamber (°C). Displays prompts during setting mode.
- c. Parameter Adjustment (Decrease): Moves to the previous parameter or decreases the parameter value.
- d. Parameter Adjustment (Increase): Moves to the next parameter or increases the parameter value.
- e. Refrigerator Setting Button.
- f. Refrigerator Cooling Indicator: Lights up when cooling is active, off when stopped, blinks when delayed.
- g. Refrigerator Defrost Indicator: Lights up during defrosting, off when completed.
- h. Freezer Cooling Indicator: Lights up when cooling is active, off when stopped, blinks when delayed.
- i. Freezer Defrost Indicator: Lights up during defrosting, off when completed.
- j. Freezer Setting Button.
Function Setting (Type A):
- The unit can be put into operation after power-on.
- User Parameter Settings: Press SET to enter parameter setting mode. Use ▲ or ▼ to adjust the temperature. Press and hold ▲ or ▼ to increase/decrease the value rapidly. Press SET or leave idle for 5s to save and return to normal mode.
- Power On/Off: Press the power button for 3s to turn off the display and output control. Press any key to turn on the display and output control.

Note: For temperature alarms, the buzzer sounds and the display blinks. For data errors, sensor failures, or alarms, the buzzer sounds and can be silenced by pressing any key. The buzzer will sound again after 30 minutes or when the error is resolved.
Control Panel Type B (Applicable to YCD-FL289/YCD-EL300/YCD-EL450/YCD-FL450/YCD-FL519):
- a. Temperature Display: Shows the average temperature in the upper (refrigerator) and lower (freezer) chambers (°C). The YCD-EL series has a lower chamber temperature range of -10°C to -26°C.
- b. Door Opening Indicator: Lights up when the refrigerator door is opened. An alarm sounds after 1 minute of the door being open.
- c. Malfunction Indicator Light: Off during normal operation, on during malfunctions.
- d. LIGHT: The light is off by default. It can be controlled by the ON/OFF button. When off, it turns on when the door is opened and off when closed. With automatic lighting, the lamp turns on when the door is opened and turns off after a 5-second delay. Manual lighting keeps the lamp on regardless of door status.
- e. PRINT: The system stores 7 days of data for printing. Press the print button to print temperature data for the selected period.
- f. Decrease Value: Decreases parameter values. Press and hold for rapid decrease.
- g. Increase Value: Increases parameter values. Press and hold for rapid increase. Press and hold for 3 seconds to import USB data.
- h. Setting/Mute Button: Press to display ambient temperature for 5 seconds. Press and hold for 3 seconds to access the user menu. When an alarm sounds, press this button to silence it and display the ambient temperature. Pressing again will reset the alarm display.
7. Defrosting, Placement, and Maintenance
Warning: Disconnect the power supply before repairing or maintaining the unit to prevent electric shock or injury.
Avoid inhaling medications or suspended matter during maintenance, as it may affect your health.
7.1 Unit Maintenance
- Defrosting: The unit automatically defrosts during operation.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain the unit (disconnect the power plug for safety). Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a warm, damp, soft cloth.
Note:
- Do not spray water directly onto the housing, as it can reduce the insulation performance of electrical components and cause metal parts to rust.
- Do not use hot water, corrosive detergents, or organic solvents for cleaning.
- Do not place heavy objects on the unit, as it may deform under pressure.
- The circuit breaker on the back of the housing protects against short circuits, heavy loads, and undervoltage. It can also be used to start the compressor.
7.2 Decommissioning of Units
- Deactivation: If the unit will be stored unused for a long time, disconnect the power supply, clean and ventilate the interior and exterior, and seal it. Lock the unit to prevent children from opening the door.
- Scrapping: At the end of its service life, the unit must be scrapped by a qualified recycling company in accordance with local regulations. Unauthorized disassembly is prohibited. Store scrapped units in a secure location inaccessible to children.
8. Troubleshooting and Maintenance Services
Products can fail. Observe the unit's operation. If any anomalies occur, check and address them according to the following table. If the abnormality persists, contact our service center promptly.

The following conditions are not faults:
- Slight knocking sound from unit parts when the compressor starts and stops.
- High temperature and humidity alarm when hot items are placed inside after opening the door (refer to alarm display table if this function is available). Solution: Allow items to cool naturally before loading. Load items in small batches. High and low temperature alarms will automatically clear once the system stabilizes.
- Slight water sound caused by refrigerant flowing in the pipeline.
Notes:
- Only MELING BIOMEDICAL certified technicians should repair or maintain the unit to ensure normal operation and safety standards.
- Clean and disinfect the unit before contacting a service technician.
- During the warranty period, the company is not liable for defects or damage caused by user misuse.
- Storage ambient temperature: -40°C ~ +55°C, relative humidity: 10% ~ 90%.
