Test Set-up and Operation Modes

Principle of Configuration Selection

The EUT was configured to measure its highest possible emission level. Test conditions were adapted according to the instructions for use. Conducted emission tests were performed on 2025-01-10, and radiated emission tests were performed on 2025-01-13.

Equipment and Cable Arrangement

Conducted Emission Test Setup: A block diagram illustrates the setup. The EUT is connected to a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN), which is connected to a transformer, power supply, and an EMI receiver. A computer is also connected to the EMI receiver. The EUT is placed on a wooden support 0.8 meters above the ground. The mains cord was bundled to a length of 0.3 m to 0.4 m.

Radiated Emission Test Setup (30-1000 MHz): The setup involves the EUT placed on an 80 cm wooden support in a semi-anechoic chamber, 3 meters away from a receiving antenna. The antenna height was varied from 1 m to 4 m, and the wooden support was rotated 360 degrees to find maximum disturbance. Tests were performed with the antenna in both horizontal and vertical polarizations.

Test Software

No special test software was used during the tests.

Special Accessories and Auxiliary Equipment

None.

Countermeasures to Achieve EMC Compliance

No other special measures were employed to achieve the requirement.

Conformity Decision Rule

For all EMI tests in this report, compliance with limits is determined by comparing measurement results directly with corresponding limits, without considering measurement uncertainties, as the uncertainties are less than the values specified in CISPR 16-4-2.

Test Results: EMISSION

5.1 Emission in the Frequency Range up to 30 MHz (Conducted Emission)

The test was conducted on 2025-01-10 in a shielded room. The input voltage was AC 120 V, 60 Hz, with the EUT in "Lighting on" operational mode. Ambient conditions were 20.5 °C and 44% relative humidity. The expanded measurement uncertainty (k=2) was 2.33 dB.

The frequency range tested was 0.15-30 MHz. The limits for Quasi-peak were: 0.15-0.5 MHz (66 to 56 dBμV), 0.5-5 MHz (56 dBμV), and 5-30 MHz (60 dBμV). The Average limits were: 0.15-0.5 MHz (56 to 46 dBμV), 0.5-5 MHz (46 dBμV), and 5-30 MHz (50 dBμV). The bandwidth of the EMI receiver was 9 kHz, and the measurement time was 1 second.

The minimum margin to the limit was 41.10 dB at 15.321750 MHz, which is higher than the expanded measurement uncertainty. The test setup complied with ANSI C63.4-2014, and the equipment used complies with CISPR 16-1 series standards.
