Caring for your floors
Ensure the underside of the cleaner head or tool is clean and free from objects that could cause damage.
Before vacuuming, check the manufacturer's recommended cleaning instructions for your flooring, rugs, and carpets.
This machine is primarily designed for hard floors. The brush bar may damage certain flooring types. Some rug materials might fuzz if a rotating brush bar is used. If this occurs, use the machine without the motorised floor tool and consult your flooring manufacturer.
Charging your machine
For optimal performance, fully charge your machine and any additional batteries upon opening the box and after each use.
The LED light on the handle flashes when the power is low and charging is needed.
Connect the charger directly to the charging point at the base of the handle. Alternatively, connect via your dock, following the installation instructions.
The LED light pulses blue while charging and turns off when fully charged.
A full charge takes up to 3.5 hours. The battery is designed to remain on charge.
The machine will not operate or charge if the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F) to protect the motor and battery.
To help prolong battery life, allow the machine to cool down before recharging.
Description of diagram: The charger connects from the power supply directly into the front of the battery.
Emptying your bin
Empty the bin when the dirt reaches the MAX mark. Frequent emptying may be necessary if using the machine with a full bin.
Description of diagram: The MAX mark indicates the fill level for normal use.
Remove your wand: Press the red wand release button on the wand and pull it away from the bin.
Release the dirt: Hold the machine over a bin, pointing downwards. Firmly push the red bin release button. The bin slides down, cleaning the shroud, and the bin base opens. The bin base will not open if the button is not fully pushed.
To remove the bin for emptying: If the bin does not empty completely, remove it. Press the red button on the bin runner to release the bin and slide it off the runner.
Minimise dust contact: Cover the bin tightly in a dust-proof bag while emptying. Remove the bin carefully, seal the bag, and dispose of it.
Replace your bin: Slide the bin back onto the runner, ensuring it and the lid are secure. Push the bin base upwards until it clicks into place. Reconnect the wand.
Close the bin: Push the bin base upwards until the bin and base click into place.
Description of diagrams: Illustrate the bin being emptied, the bin lid closing with an audible click, and the bin being pushed upwards. Also shows the bin being emptied into a bag and the bin being pushed back into position on the runner.
Cleaning your bin
Do not use a dishwasher, detergents, polishes, or air fresheners on any part of the machine.
Clean your bin: Empty the bin first as described in the 'Emptying your bin' section. Release the bin from the runner.
Clean the bin with a damp, lint-free cloth or under a stream of water. Never submerge the bin in water. Allow it to dry completely before reattaching.
Ensure the bin and seals are completely dry before replacement.
Replace your bin: Insert the bin onto the runner and close it by pushing the base upwards until it clicks into place.
Description of diagrams: Show the bin being removed and the location of the release lever.
Clearing blockages
If a blockage is detected, the motor will pulse six times. The machine cannot be used until the blockage is cleared. Attempting to use it while pulsing will cause it to cut out automatically.
Allow the machine to cool down before checking for blockages.
Disconnect the machine from the charger before checking. Be aware of sharp objects. Do not use the machine while checking for blockages, as this could cause injury.
Description of diagrams:
- With the bin removed, check the air inlet located on the right-hand side of the machine, below where the bin joins the main body.
- Check for blockages at the filter end and bin ends of the machine.
- The bin removal lever location is shown.
- With the wand removed, check for blockages at both ends of the wand.
- Turn the cleaner head over to check for obstructions on the brush bar and air inlet. Remove any obstructions from the brush bar.
Clearing blockages from your Hair screw tool
The Hair screw tool does not have a washable brush bar. Regularly check and clear any obstructions for optimum performance.
Ensure the machine is disconnected from the charger.
Remove the cover and brush bar: Remove the Hair screw tool from the wand or machine. Push the base plate open by pressing the red lever down to release the cleaner head cover. Pull the cleaner head cover off the main body.
Look for obstructions: Pull the brush bar firmly from the main body. Check and remove obstructions from all three parts of the Hair screw tool. The Hair screw tool is not washable; wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Reassemble Hair screw tool: Place the brush bar back into position and press firmly until it clicks. Check the red locking lever is unlocked. Align the cleaner head cover with the guide on the main body and push it down until it clicks. Push the red locking lever up until it clicks, then push the base plate back into place.

Washing your filter
Wash your filter at least once a month to maintain optimum suction power. For more information and support videos, visit www.dyson.vn/en-VN/products/vacuum-cleaners/dyson-micro-vacuum/owners.
Twist off your filter: Twist the filter anti-clockwise and pull it away from the machine. The filter is located at the rear of the machine.
Tap your filter: Before washing, tap the filter gently over a bin to remove loose dust and debris. Hold the filter by the hard plastic end and tap the other end over the bin.
Wash your filter: Wash with warm, running tap water, gently rubbing with your fingers to remove dirt.
Fill and shake: Place your hand over one end of the filter. Fill with warm tap water. Place your hand over the open end and shake firmly to remove trapped dirt. Repeat until the water runs clear.
Shake out the water: Empty the filter and shake firmly to remove excess water. Shake with the filter in upward and downward positions until no more water comes out.
Dry your filter: Do not dry the filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, or near a naked flame. The filter must be completely dry before reinsertion. Using a damp filter can damage the machine.
Description of diagrams: Show the filter location, tapping the filter, washing the filter under a tap, shaking water out, and the filter drying upright.
Note: Allow at least 24 hours for drying.
Washing your Illuminated cleaner head brush bar
Your Illuminated cleaner head has a washable brush bar. Check and wash it regularly for optimum performance.
Ensure the machine is disconnected from the charger.
Remove your brush bar: Do not put any part of the machine in a dishwasher or use detergents, polishes, or air fresheners. Press the cleaner head release button on the end of the wand. Place the cleaner head upside down. Push the end cap up fully and pull the brush bar out. Remove the end cap (do not wash it). Slide the brush bar out of the cleaner head.
Wash and dry your brush bar: Hold the brush bar under running water and gently rub to remove lint or dirt. Stand the brush bar upright as shown, with the closed end facing upwards, to dry completely for at least 24 hours.
Replace your brush bar: Ensure the brush bar is completely dry. Reattach the end cap. Slide the brush bar into the cleaner head and push the end cap back down to the closed position. The end cap should attach at an angle less than 90°; a greater angle will prevent closure.
Cleaning your optic lens: Keep the optic lens clean for optimum performance. Clean only when the cleaner head is detached. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the lens.
Description of diagrams: Show the end cap location and how to unlock the brush bar, the brush bar drying upright, and the correct angle for reattaching the end cap.
