The Midea 13 SEER Series unit is the outdoor component of a versatile climate-control system designed to create perfect comfort. It is constructed with a matching indoor coil component from Midea Unitary Products. This multi-functional, high-efficiency system meets various needs while offering industry-leading quality and value.

- Compressor protection against high/low pressure and temperatures via factory-installed high/low pressure switch and temperature sensor.
- Factory-installed discharge muffler for quiet and stable operation.
- Low-pressure service valve for easy access during service and installation.
- Factory-installed accumulator to protect the compressor against liquid slugging.
- Crankcase heater to protect the compressor from low ambient temperatures or refrigerant migration.
- High condenser coil temperature protection (127° F).
- High-quality condenser coils with inner-groove copper pipe and high-efficiency aluminum fin for maximum heat exchange.
- Anti-rust painted galvanized steel cabinet, tested for 1000 hours in a salt spray test.

Typical Installation
Diagram illustrating typical installation. The heat pump should be installed 12 inches above the anticipated snow level. The base pad should be concrete or other suitable material. The diagram also shows a bottom view of the base pan, with a note not to obstruct drain holes (shaded).

Outdoor Unit Wiring Diagram (A/C Systems)
Diagram shows connections for Compressor Contactor (CC), Compressor (COMP), Run Capacitors (RC1, RC2), Terminal Block (L1, L2, GND), and power/control wiring. Includes a warning regarding grounding and wiring compliance with standards (IEC, NEC, CEC, CLC, local codes) and using correct wire gauge and insulation type for replacements. Lists fault codes for TDC failure, sensor failures, LPC open, and power phase failure.
Outdoor Unit Wiring Diagram (H/P Systems)
Similar to A/C systems, showing connections for Compressor Contactor (CC), Compressor (COMP), Time Delay Control (TDC), Resistance sensors (T3, T4), Outdoor Fan Motor (OFM), Run Capacitor (RC1), Ground (GND), Terminal Block (L1, L2, L3). Includes a note that "Manual Defrost" and "JUMP" are unavailable for AC units.
