The 14 SEER Series unit is an outdoor air conditioning component designed for a versatile climate-control system to create perfect comfort. It is constructed with a matching indoor coil component from Midea Unitary Products. This multi-functional, high-efficiency system meets all your needs while offering industry-leading quality and unmatched value.
Features
- Compressor protected against high/low pressure and temperatures by a factory-installed high/low pressure switch and a temperature sensor.
- Factory-installed discharge muffler for quiet and stable operation.
- Low-pressure service valve for easy access for service and installation.
- Factory-installed accumulator protects the compressor against liquid slugging.
- Crankcase heater protects the compressor from low ambient temperatures or refrigerant migration.
- High condenser coil temperature protection (127° F).
- High-quality condenser coils with inner-groove copper pipe and high-efficiency aluminum fin for maximum heat exchange.
- Anti-rust: painted galvanized steel cabinet, tested with 1000 hours' salt spray test.
- Operating ambient temperature range: AC 64-109° F; HP 14–109° F.

Typical Installation
General Guidelines:
- Base Pad: A concrete or other suitable material base pad should be installed.
- Elevation: The heat pump should be installed 12" above the anticipated snow level.
- Service Access: Allow 24" clearance for service access.
- Air Discharge: Allow 60" minimum clearance for air discharge.
- Air Inlets: Louvered panels should allow 18" minimum clearance for air inlets.
- Base Pan: Ensure the base pan (bottom view) does not obstruct drain holes (shaded area).
