Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the 8BitDo Pro Bluetooth controller.
Controller Layout and Functions
The 8BitDo Pro controller features the following buttons and indicators:
- L, L2: Shoulder buttons.
- R, R2: Shoulder buttons.
- - select: Select button.
- + start: Start button.
- d-pad: Directional pad for movement input.
- L3: Left analog stick click.
- R3: Right analog stick click.
- star: A function button, often used for special actions.
- home: Home button, typically used to access system menus.
- home LED: Indicates the controller's status or player number.
- pair: Button for Bluetooth pairing.
- power LED: Indicates the power status of the controller.
- status LED: Provides additional status information, such as connection or battery level.
- X, Y, A, B: Face buttons for in-game actions.
Switch and Bluetooth Connection
Please note the following regarding the controller's functionality:
- Certain features like BTC power key, 4V camera, 4V control, and notification LID are not supported. The system cannot be switched up on wheels.
- The 8BitDo LED indicates the number of players. For example, the LED might be on for the first player, and the 5V and 2V/200mA ports are for the second player, with a maximum of 5 players supported.
- Bluetooth Connection: Follow the LED indicators to pair your controller. The LED charts will rotate from left to right to indicate the pairing process. Specific LED patterns for 5V and 2V connections are described, indicating a sequence of lights from left to right.
