Product Introduction

The Aqara Climate Sensor W100 is a high-precision temperature and humidity sensor featuring a screen. It supports both Zigbee and Thread dual protocols. The device monitors and records ambient temperature and humidity in real time. It can be associated with an additional temperature and humidity sensor. Three custom buttons allow control of other smart home devices and support binding with thermostat devices for wireless control. The sensor also integrates with the Matter ecosystem or Aqara Home via an Aqara hub, enhancing the smart home experience with other connected devices.

Note: This product requires a hub to function. It is designed for indoor use only.

Device Overview

The sensor features an LCD screen and several control elements:

• 1. Child lock enabled indicator: Visual cue when child lock is active.
• 2. Main control: Primary control button or area.
• 3. Device offline indicator: Shows if the device is not connected.
• 4. Battery level: Displays the current battery status.
• 5. Signal strength: Indicates the wireless connection strength.
• 6. Wireless Switch 1: Functions include increasing set temperature, switching mode forward, and increasing fan speed (when bound with a thermostat).
• 7. Wireless Switch 2: Used to switch between settings for temperature adjustment, mode adjustment, and fan speed adjustment (when bound with a thermostat). This button is also referred to as the "o" button in operation descriptions.
• 8. Wireless Switch 3: Functions include decreasing set temperature, switching mode reverse, and decreasing fan speed (when bound with a thermostat).
• 9. Ambient humidity: Displays the current ambient humidity.
• 10. Fan status: Indicates fan speed (Low, Medium, High, Auto).
• 11. Thermostat mode: Displays the current thermostat mode (Auto, Heating, Cooling).
• 12. Set temperature: Shows the target temperature.
• 13. Ambient humidity: Displays the current ambient humidity (on the screen).
• 14. LCD Screen: The primary display for sensor data and settings.
• 15. Temperature and humidity display: Shows ambient temperature and humidity, or data from an associated sensor.
• 16. Reset button: Used for resetting the device. Long press for 5 seconds resets and enters network configuration mode. Clicking 10 times resets to factory default settings.
• 17. Desktop Stand: An accessory for placing the sensor on a flat surface.
• 18. Wall Bracket: An accessory for mounting the sensor on a wall (available for TH-S04D model).

Warnings

WARNING: Do not swallow battery, chemical burn hazard!

• This product contains a button battery. Swallowing it can cause severe internal burns within 2 hours and may lead to death.
• Using an incorrect battery type poses a risk of fire or explosion. Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
• Keep batteries out of reach of children, whether new or old.
• If the battery compartment does not lock securely, discontinue use and keep the product away from children.
• Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect a battery has been swallowed or placed inside the body.
• Do not expose batteries to fire, microwave ovens, or ovens, as this may cause them to explode.
• Do not disassemble, impact, squeeze, cut, or mechanically damage batteries, as this may cause them to explode.
• Avoid exposing batteries to extremely low pressure or high temperature environments, which can lead to explosions and leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
• Dispose of used batteries safely and properly according to relevant national and regional regulations.
• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, as this can damage electronic components and plastics.
• Remove the battery before cleaning. Use only a dry cloth for external cleaning; avoid cleaning fluids to prevent damage.
• This product is not waterproof. Do not immerse it in water or use it in humid environments for extended periods.
• This product is for indoor use only. Position it away from direct sunlight, shelter, or heat sources.

Installation Methods

The Climate Sensor W100 can be installed in several ways:

1. With desktop stand: Place the sensor on a flat surface using the provided stand.
2. With wall bracket/On magnetic surface: Mount the sensor on a wall using the bracket, or attach it to a magnetic surface. This option is available for the TH-S04D model.
3. With screw kit: Securely mount the sensor to a wall using the provided screws and anchors.

Quick Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Climate Sensor W100:

1) Access to Aqara Home

1. Download the "Aqara Home" app from your app store or by scanning the QR code provided in the manual.
2. Power on the device by removing the battery insulation film.
3. Add the device: Open the Aqara Home app, tap "+" on the homepage, and select the device.

Troubleshooting: If adding fails, move the device closer to the hub and try again. Ensure a compatible hub (e.g., Hub M3) is connected to your Aqara account and within range.

2) Access to the 3rd-Party Matter Ecosystem

Method 1: Direct Matter Setup

1. Ensure you have a Matter-compatible app and a Matter-compatible Thread border router installed.
2. After powering on, the device's indicator light will flash slowly, indicating it's in network setting mode.
3. Open your Matter-enabled app, scan the Matter QR code on the product or manual, or enter the setup code to add the device.

Method 2: Via Aqara Home App

1. Add the device to the Aqara Home app first.
2. On the device's settings page within the Aqara Home app, select "Matter Ecosystem" and follow the prompts.
3. This synchronizes device actions (single click, long press) to Matter platforms supporting "wireless switch" and "temperature and humidity sensor" device types (e.g., Apple Home, Home Assistant), enabling automations and scenes.

Button Operations

The sensor's buttons offer various controls, especially when bound with an Aqara thermostat. The "o" button is referred to as Wireless Switch 2.

Setting Item Switch and Adjustment

Press the "o" (Wireless Switch 2) button to cycle through setting items. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust parameters.

Child Lock

Activates a mode where device buttons are disabled to prevent accidental operation.
