This guide provides instructions for setting up and using the 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller with various devices.

Controller Overview

The 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller is designed for enhanced mobile gaming experiences. It features a comprehensive layout including:

• Directional Pad (D-pad)

• Shoulder buttons (L1, R1)

Connecting Your Controller

The controller connects wirelessly via Bluetooth. Ensure your device has Bluetooth capabilities enabled.

Android / iOS Devices

1. Turn on the controller by pressing and holding the Start Button for 3 seconds.
2. Press and hold the Pairing Button (located on the top edge) for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will flash.
3. On your Android or iOS device, navigate to Bluetooth settings.
4. Scan for devices and select "8BitDo Ultimate MGX" to pair.
5. The Status LED on the controller will remain solid once the connection is successfully established.

Windows / macOS Devices

1. Turn on the controller by pressing and holding the Start Button for 3 seconds.
2. Press and hold the Pairing Button (located on the top edge) for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will flash.
3. On your Windows or macOS device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
4. Select "8BitDo Ultimate MGX" from the list of available devices to pair.
5. The Status LED on the controller will remain solid once the connection is successfully established.

Controller Modes and Functions

The controller can be switched between different operating system modes using a physical switch located on the top edge of the controller. The modes are:

• Android/iOS Mode: For use with Android and iOS devices.
• Windows Mode: For use with Windows PCs.
• macOS Mode: For use with macOS devices.

Additionally, the controller offers several special functions accessible via button combinations:

• Turbo Function: To enable or disable the turbo function for a specific button, press and hold the desired button, then press the Turbo Button.
• Screenshot: Press the dedicated Screenshot Button (often marked with a camera icon) to capture a screenshot on your connected device.
• Home: Press the Home Button (often featuring the 8BitDo logo) to return to the system's home screen or main menu.
