8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller (Xbox)

This document outlines the features and usage of the 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller for Xbox. It details the controller's layout, connectivity options for various platforms, battery information, safety precautions, and software customization features.
Controller Layout
The controller features the following buttons and ports:

Powering On/Off
- Power On: Press the Xbox button.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Xbox button for 6 seconds.
- Force Power Off: Press and hold the Xbox button for 12 seconds.
Connectivity
Android
Requires Android 13 or above.
Bluetooth Connection
- Press the Xbox button to turn on the controller.
- Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED indicator blinks rapidly). This is for the first-time connection only.
- On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for "8BitDo Ultimate MGX", and pair. The LED indicator will remain solid upon successful connection.
iOS
Requires iOS 17.x or above.
Bluetooth Connection
- Press the Xbox button to turn on the controller.
- Hold the Pair button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED indicator blinks rapidly). This is for the first-time connection only.
- On your iOS device, go to Bluetooth settings, search for "8BitDo Ultimate MGX", and pair. The LED indicator will remain solid upon successful connection.
Windows
Requires Windows 10 (1903) or above.
Wired Connection
Connect the controller to your Windows device via a USB cable. The LED indicator will remain solid once the device is successfully recognized.
Battery Information
The controller has a built-in 300mAh rechargeable battery providing approximately 13 hours of playtime. Charging time is about 90 minutes.
Battery Status Indicators
- Charging: Green LED blinks
- Low Battery: Red LED blinks
- Fully Charged: Green LED stays solid
The controller will automatically shut down if it fails to connect within 1 minute of startup or if there are no operations for 15 minutes after connection. It will not shut down during a wired connection.
Safety Warnings
- Always use batteries, chargers, and accessories provided by the manufacturer.
- The manufacturer is not liable for any safety issues arising from the use of non-manufacturer-approved accessories.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the device yourself. Unauthorized actions may result in injury.
- Avoid crushing, disassembling, puncturing, or attempting to modify the device or its battery, as these actions can be dangerous.
- Any unauthorized changes or modifications to the device will void the manufacturer's warranty.
Ultimate Software
Press the Profile button to activate a profile. By default, no profile is set.
