Operation Details

(1) The Function of Main Control

1. Time Delay Safety Control

  • Compressor is ceased for 3 minutes to balance pressure in the refrigeration cycle (Protection of compressor).
  • Indoor fan is ceased for 2 seconds to prevent relay noise (Protection of fan relay and micro chip).
  • 4-way valve is ceased for 30 seconds to prevent refrigerant-gas abnormal noise when Heating operation is OFF or switched to another mode.

2. Airflow Direction Control

This function allows the louver to swing automatically up and down and be set at the desired position.

Procedure:

  1. Press the ON/OFF Button to operate the product.
  2. Press the Airflow Direction Control Button to swing the louver up and down automatically.
  3. Repress the Airflow Direction Control Button to set the louver at the desired position.

3. Cooling Mode Operation

When selecting the Cooling Mode, the unit operates according to the remote controller settings. The operation diagram is as follows:

Cooling Mode Operation Diagram: Shows Intake Air temperature fluctuations relative to COMP. ON (SET TEMP. +0.5°C) and COMP. OFF (SET TEMP. -0.5°C). INDOOR FAN operates at 'Selecting fan speed' or 'Low'. COMPRESSOR cycles ON and OFF. Mentions 'More than 3 minutes' for compressor off periods.

4. Cooling or Heating Mode with Sleep Mode Auto Operation

When selecting Cooling or Heating combined with Sleep Mode Auto Operation, the operation diagram is as follows.

Cooling Mode with the Sleep Mode

The setting temperature is raised by 1°C after 30 minutes and by 2°C after 1 hour. The operation will be stopped after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 hours.

5. Fuzzy Operation

The operation procedure is as follows:

  1. Press Start/Stop Button
  2. Select Fuzzy Operation Mode
  3. Check the Room temperature

Operation mode, indoor fan speed, and setting temperature are automatically decided by Fuzzy rule.

Fuzzy Operation for Soft Dry

The Setting temperature is set to match the current intake-air temperature.

  • Compressor ON temperature: Setting temperature +1 °C
  • Compressor OFF temperature: Setting temperature -0.5°C

6. Heating Mode Operation

The unit operates according to the remote controller settings. The operation diagram is shown as following.

INDOOR FAN cycles through OFF, Selecting fan speed, and LOW. COMPRESSOR cycles ON and OFF. Points A and B are defined: A point - indoor pipe temperature to be 35°C; B point - indoor pipe temperature to be 35°C. Indoor fan operates minimum 10sec. even if falls lower than 35°C.

7. Hot- Start Control

The indoor fan stops until the evaporator piping temperature reaches 28°C (BY TEMPERATURE).

Hot-Start Control Diagram: Shows PIPE TEMP. 28°C. INDOOR FAN cycles through OFF, LOW, and SELECTING FAN SPEED. COMPRESSOR is ON. Includes a 60-second duration marker.

8. Deice Control

Deicing operation is controlled by timer and sensing the indoor pipe temperature.

9. Soft Dry Operation

During Soft Dry Operation, the compressor ON temperature is the setting temperature plus 1°C, and the compressor OFF temperature is the setting temperature minus 0.5°C.

In this temperature range, the operation repeats 10min. Dry Operation, 5.5min operation OFF, 1.5min. fan-only operation. During the 10min Dry operation, even if the room temperature falls below the compressor OFF temperature, the 10min(MAX) Compressor ON period includes 4 min. Compressor ON operation below the compressor OFF temperature.

In micom dehumidify mode, fan speed control is as follows:

10. Forced Operation

If the wireless remote controller is lost, the unit can be operated using the forced operation switch.
