  • WARNING: Failure to follow instructions can cause serious injury or death.
  • CAUTION: Failure to follow instructions can cause minor injury or product damage.

Symbols on Units:

  • ? (Flammable Refrigerant): Indicates the appliance uses a flammable refrigerant. Leakage and exposure to ignition sources pose a fire risk.
  • ? (Read Manual): Indicates the Operation Manual should be read carefully.
  • ?️ (Service Personnel): Indicates service personnel should handle equipment with reference to the Installation Manual.
  • ℹ️ (Information Available): Indicates information is available in the Operating or Installation Manual.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

  • Installation: Do not install on unstable surfaces. Contact an authorized service center for installation/relocation. Install control box panel safely. Do not install where flammable liquids/gases are stored. Ensure pipes and cables are not pulled too tight. Use appropriate circuit breakers/fuses. Do not input air/gas other than specified refrigerant. Use non-flammable gas (nitrogen) for leak checks. Secure wiring connections tightly.
  • Operation: Use only specified parts; do not modify. Ensure children do not climb on or hit the outdoor unit. Dispose of batteries safely. Use only specified refrigerant. Cut off power if noise, smell, or smoke occurs. Keep flammable substances away. Contact service if submerged in flood water. Do not use in small spaces without ventilation. Ventilate sufficiently after gas leaks. Contact service for interior cleaning. Ventilate when using with heating appliances. Do not block air flow. Do not insert objects into air inlets/outlets. Ensure power cable is in good condition. Never operate with wet hands.
  • Maintenance/Safety: Do not place objects on the power cable. Do not place heaters near the power cable. Do not modify/extend power cables. Cut off power during blackouts/thunderstorms. Ensure power cable is not pulled out or damaged. Do not touch refrigerant/water pipes or internal parts during/after operation. Do not clean by spraying water directly. Disconnect power before cleaning/maintenance. Installation/repairs by unauthorized persons are hazardous.
  • General: Information is for qualified service technicians. Failure to follow instructions can lead to malfunction, damage, injury, or death. Power cord replacement must be done by authorized personnel with genuine parts. Ensure proper grounding to minimize electric shock risk. Do not remove grounding prong. Attaching earth wire to cover screw does not ground unless specific conditions are met. Consult an electrician if unsure about grounding. Refrigerant and blowing gas require special disposal procedures.

CAUTION

  • Installation: Do not install in areas exposed to sea wind (salt spray). Install drain hose properly. Exercise caution during unpacking/installation. Do not touch leaking refrigerant. Transport with two or more people or use a forklift. Protect outdoor unit from direct sunlight. Do not place indoor unit where exposed to sunlight via windows. Dispose of packing materials safely. Install away from neighbors' inconvenience due to noise or fumes.
  • Operation: Remove batteries from remote control if not used for an extended period. Ensure filter is installed. Check for refrigerant leaks. Do not place objects on the unit. Do not mix battery types. Do not run for long periods in high humidity with open doors/windows. Stop using remote if battery leaks; wash skin if exposed. Do not expose people/animals/plants to cold/hot wind for extended periods. If battery fluid is swallowed, rinse mouth and consult a doctor. Do not drink drained water. Do not use for special purposes (preserving food, art); it's for consumer use. Do not recharge or disassemble batteries.
  • Maintenance: Never touch metal parts when removing the air filter. Use a sturdy stool/ladder for work at height. Never use strong cleaning agents/solvents or spray water; use a smooth cloth.
