3. Cooling Operation Mode

When the Cooling (*) Mode is selected, the unit operates according to the remote controller settings. The operation diagram is shown below.

Cooling Operation Mode Diagram: Line graph illustrating intake air temperature fluctuations over time, showing compressor status (ON/OFF) and indoor fan speed (Low/Selecting) relative to setting temperatures. Time intervals like "More than 3 minutes" are indicated.

Protection of the indoor heat exchanger from frosting: Compressor and outdoor fan stop when indoor pipe temperature is below 32°F and restart when the pipe temperature is above 45°F.

Auto Operation

4. Auto Operation (Electronic Control Mode)

The operation procedure is as follows (for Cooling & Heating Models):

  1. Press Start/Stop Button
  2. Select Auto Operation Mode
  3. Check the Room temperature

Operation mode, indoor fan speed, and setting temperature are decided automatically by the unit's electronic control.

Note: If the initial mode is decided, that mode continues without room temperature changes.

Operation Modes

5. Soft Dry Operation Mode

During Soft Dry Operation:

When the room temperature rises over the compressor ON temperature, the operation mode switches to Cooling operation.

When the room temperature falls between the compressor ON and OFF temperatures, the operation mode switches to Soft Dry Operation.

Soft Dry Operation Mode Diagram: Line graph showing intake air temperature changes, detailing compressor and fan speed operations during cooling, soft dry, and subsequent cooling cycles. Time intervals like "maximum 3 minutes", "10 minutes", "7 minutes" are shown.

6. Heating Operation Mode (only Heating Model)

The unit operates according to the setting conditions by the remote controller.

Heating Operation Mode Diagram: Line graph showing intake air temperature fluctuations, illustrating compressor and fan speed control during heating operations. Time intervals like "minimum 10sec.", "minimum 1 min." are indicated.

A point: While the indoor pipe temperature is higher than 95°F, indoor fan operates at low speed. When the indoor pipe temperature becomes lower than 95°F, indoor fan stops.

B point: When the indoor pipe temperature is higher than 82°F, fan operates at selected fan speed.

Hot-Start Control

The indoor fan stops until the indoor pipe temperature reaches 82°F.

During heating operation, if indoor pipe temperature falls below 78°F, the fan stops.

Hot-Start Control Diagram: Line graph showing indoor pipe temperature changes, indicating compressor and fan speed status based on temperature thresholds (82°F, 78°F). A "1 min" interval is shown.

Advanced Controls

Defrost Control

Defrost operation is controlled by timer and sensing temperature of the outdoor pipe.

Defrost Control Diagram: Line graph showing outdoor pipe temperature changes, detailing defrost control phases, compressor, fan, and valve status.

7. Cooling or Heating Mode with Sleep Mode Auto Control

When selecting the Cooling (*) or Heating () mode combined with the Sleep Mode Auto Control (), the operation diagram is as follows.

Cooling Mode with the Sleep Mode

The setting temperature automatically rises by 2°F after 30 minutes and by 4°F after 1 hour.

The operation will be stopped after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 hours.
