Installation Steps
- Prepare the Door: Fold and apply the template to the high edge of the door bevel. Mark the center of the door edge at the desired height from the floor.
- Backset Measurement: Ensure the backset is set to 28 (this likely refers to 2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches, a standard measurement for backsets).
- Drilling: Follow the template for drilling holes in the door and door frame for the lock mechanism and strike plate.
- Install the Deadlock: Insert the deadbolt mechanism into the door edge and secure it.
- Install the Strike Plate: Mount the strike plate on the door frame in the corresponding position.
- Attach Cylinder(s): Install the cylinder(s) through the door and secure them according to the specific type (single or double cylinder).
- Test the Lock: Operate the deadbolt using the key and thumbturn to ensure smooth operation.
