Remote Control Overview
Description of remote control buttons:
- 1: [power-symbol] Power: Press to enter or exit standby mode.
- 2: [source-button] Source: Displays the list of input source channels.
- 3: [number-buttons] Number buttons: Select channels or input passwords.
- 4: [quick-menu-button] Quick Menu: Displays TV options with adjustable settings.
- 5: [subtitle-button] SUBT: Select subtitles.
- 6: [account-button] Account: Switch account.
- 7: [google-assistant-button] Google Assistant: Launch the built-in virtual assistant for voice commands.
- 8: [direction-buttons] Direction buttons: Navigate menus and settings.
- 9: [dashboard-button] Dashboard: Contains user account, settings, input source list, weather, image settings, notifications, etc.

Before You Get Started
Prepare your TV for setup:
Stand Assembly
a. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring the [left-marking] 'L' and [right-marking] 'R' markings on the TV and stands match.
b. Insert two 25mm screws on each side of the bracket. Use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.
Remote Control Assembly
a. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side.
b. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries, matching the [positive-terminal] '+' and [negative-terminal] '-' polarity markings with the diagram inside the compartment. Lithium AAA Batteries are recommended for the remote.
c. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Connect to Antenna
a. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the [antenna-input] 'ANT' input port at the back of the TV.
b. Ensure the antenna cable is connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket or directly.
Turning TV On
Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet. Press the [power-symbol] POWER button on the remote control, aiming it at the sensor at the front of the TV. Alternatively, press the power button on the lower side of the back panel.
Turning TV Off: Press the [power-symbol] POWER button on the remote control to enter standby mode. To power down completely, unplug the power cord. Avoid leaving the TV in standby mode for extended periods. If not using the TV for a long time, unplug it from the power outlet and aerial.
Initial Setup
When turning the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen appears. Use the [direction-buttons] and [ok-button] buttons to navigate options.
- Language: Select your menu language.
- Google Account Benefits: Access movies, TV shows, personalized recommendations, Google Assistant, voice control, live TV, and external devices. Basic TV functions can also be set directly.
- Select Wi-Fi Network: Your Google TV scans for nearby wireless networks. Ensure the TV is within range of your modem/router and have your password ready. Follow prompts to connect. For a wired connection, insert an Ethernet cable (not supplied) into the [lan-input] 'LAN' port at the back of the TV and ensure it's connected to the internet.
- Select Terms: Read and accept Google's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Google Play Terms of Service.
- Search Across Apps: Allow sharing requests with TV apps for Google Assistant to find content across all apps.
- Choose Subscriptions: Your subscribed apps and pre-installed apps will be installed.
- Remote & Accessories: Pair your Bluetooth-enabled remote control by following on-screen prompts to enable voice commands via the Google Assistant button.
After these steps, the Auto Tuning screen appears. Ensure an antenna cable is connected to the [antenna-input] 'ANT' port. Auto Tuning searches for and saves available free-to-air TV channels. The number of searched channels displays on screen.
Once setup is complete, you can access the Home page.
eARC: Enhanced Audio Return Channel. To use eARC, set EDID version to 2.1 (Settings -> Channels & Inputs -> Input - HDMI EDID Version) and turn on the eARC switch (Settings -> Display & Sound -> Sound -> eARC).
Home Screen Overview
The Home screen provides access to various content and features:
- 1: [google-assistant-button] Google Assistant: Launch the assistant for voice commands (e.g., "What's the weather today?").
- 2: Text Search: Manually enter text to search TV apps.
- 3: For You: Displays application recommendations, new episodes, top picks, and your apps.
- 4: Movies: Browse popular and new movies.
- 5: Shows: Watch popular and new programs.
- 6: Apps: Access the App Centre to display all installed apps. Free-to-air channels are under "Live TV".
- 7: Library: View and manage recorded content and watch lists.
- 8: Dashboard: Access user account, settings, input sources, weather, image settings, and notifications.
Note: The home page layout and functions may change dynamically with launcher versions. Images are for reference only.
Settings
Access global settings via the Home interface: Press the [right-arrow-key] until the Dashboard menu appears, then navigate to the Settings icon [settings-icon]. Here you can adjust interface, connectivity, and app options.
Alternatively, in Live TV mode, press the Quick Menu button [quick-menu-button] on the remote and use the [navigation-buttons] to select Settings. Use [navigation-buttons] to navigate submenus and [ok-button] for channel and recording/time shift options.
Troubleshooting
Poor picture and sound quality:
- Try a different channel.
- Adjust the antenna.
- Check all connections.
No picture or sound in TV status:
- Try another channel.
- Press the TV/AV button.
- Ensure the TV is plugged in.
- Check the antenna connection.
No sound or sound too low at maximum volume:
- Check volume settings on external speakers.
- Adjust TV volume.
- Check another channel or input.
- Ensure MUTE is not activated.
No colour, wrong colour, or tints:
- Verify the program is broadcast in colour.
- Select Picture menu and adjust HUE and Color Tuner.
Remote control malfunctions:
- Replace remote control batteries.
- Check battery terminals.
- Ensure remote is within range and obstructions are removed between remote and TV's IR sensor.
- Confirm TV power cord is plugged in and the TV is on.
Image is not centred on the screen:
- Adjust horizontal and vertical position.
"No Signal" on HDMI source:
- Test the device with a different HDMI cable.
- Plug the device into another HDMI port.
- Try a different device connected to the same cable and port.
- Perform a factory reset on your TV.
Picture rolls vertically:
- Check all connections.
Blurred or snowy picture, distorted sound:
- Check antenna direction, location, and connections.
- Issues may be caused by indoor antenna use (poor signal).
