Primo Home Series Spill Proof Water Dispensers
Diagram and Features
The Primo Home Series water dispenser is designed for convenient water dispensing. A water bottle is placed on top, feeding water into the unit. The front features dispensing controls and spouts, with indicator lights. A drip tray is located at the bottom. The back houses operational switches and the power cord.
Key Components:
- Front:
- 1. Spill Proof Bottle Receptacle with Leak Guard (not on all models): Facilitates easy, spill-proof bottle loading and reduces leaks from worn or damaged bottles.
- 2. Water Dispensing Controls: Buttons or levers to dispense water.
- 3. Function Lights (not on all models): Indicate cooling (green light below snowflake) or heating (green light below wavy lines).
- 4. Drain Hole: Allows accidental spills within the cabinet to exit via the drip tray, preventing contact with electrical components.
- 5. Spout(s): Where water is dispensed.
- 6. Bottle Support(s) (not on all models): Align bottles/glasses with spouts to prevent spills.
- 7. LED Nightlight (not on all models): Located behind bottle supports for low-light visibility.
- 8. Drip Tray: Dishwasher safe, slides out. Features a red float indicator to signal when it needs emptying (float not on all models).

- 9. Activation Switch for Cooling (Green, not on all models): Turns the cooling function on/off.
- 10. Activation Switch for Heating (Red, not on all models): Turns the heating function on/off.
- 11. Activation Switch for LED Nightlight (Blue, not on all models): Activates the nightlight.
- 12. Hot Tank Drain: Used for cleaning. Caution: Water can be extremely hot.
- 13. Plug & Cord: Connects to a ground fault interrupting receptacle.
Warnings & Safety Precautions
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE, USER MUST READ THIS MANUAL BEFORE ASSEMBLING, INSTALLING & OPERATING DISPENSER.
Failure to follow instructions can cause personal injury or property damage.
Models that heat water dispense at very high temperatures. Failure to use properly can cause personal injury.
Always exercise basic safety precautions:
- Ensure the dispenser is properly assembled and installed according to this manual before use.
- This dispenser is intended for water dispensing only. Do NOT use other liquids or for other purposes. Use only known and microbiologically safe bottled water.
- For indoor use only. Keep the dispenser in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Do NOT use outdoors.
- Install and use only on a hard, flat, and level surface.
- Do NOT place the dispenser in an enclosed space or cabinet.
- Do NOT operate the dispenser in the presence of explosive fumes.
- Position the back of the dispenser at least 4 inches from the wall to permit free airflow. Maintain at least 4 inches clearance on the sides for airflow.
- The dispenser is intended to be plugged into a ground fault interrupting receptacle.
- Do not use an extension cord with the water dispenser.
- Always grasp the plug and pull straight out from the outlet. Never unplug by pulling on the power cord.
- Do NOT use the dispenser if the cord becomes frayed or damaged.
- To protect against electric shock, do NOT immerse the cord, plug, or any other part of the dispenser in water or other liquids.
- Ensure the dispenser is unplugged prior to cleaning.
- Never allow children to dispense hot water without proper and direct supervision. Unplug the unit to prevent unsupervised use by children.
- Do not dispense hot water if the water bottle is empty.

Limited Warranty
Primo Water Corporation warrants this dispenser to the original purchaser for one (1) year from the date of purchase, provided it is assembled and operated according to the instructions. Proof of purchase (sales slip or invoice) may be required.
The warranty covers repair or replacement of defective parts under normal use and service. Contact Primo Water's Customer Care Department for claims. Transportation charges for returned parts must be prepaid by the customer; replacement parts will be shipped freight prepaid.
This Limited Warranty does not cover failures or difficulties due to accident, abuse, misuse, alteration, misapplication, improper installation, improper maintenance or service by the user or a third party, or failure to perform normal and routine maintenance. It also does not cover damages to the finish such as scratches, dents, discoloration, or rust after purchase.
This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Primo Water disclaims warranties for products purchased from unauthorized sellers. After the one-year period, Primo Water disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Primo Water shall have no liability for special, indirect, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages.

Setup
All hardware is included. Setup requires a Phillips screwdriver (not included).
Locate Dispenser
Notice: Do NOT plug the power cord into the wall outlet until instructed.
- Place the dispenser upright.
- Locate the dispenser on a hard, level surface in a cool, shaded area near a ground fault interrupting receptacle.
- Position the dispenser so its back is at least 4 inches from the wall and there are at least 4 inches of clearance on both sides for airflow.
Install Bracket
CAUTION: The dispenser must be securely anchored to the wall as shown to prevent accidental tip hazard.
- Clip the bracket onto the back right corner of the dispenser.
- Install the plastic anchor directly into sheetrock using a Phillips screwdriver. Do NOT drill a hole first when using this anchor.
- Secure by installing the screw through the bracket and into the anchor.
Note: Remove the screw to free the dispenser for cleaning or relocating.
Install Drip Tray & Grid
- Remove the drip tray and grid from protective packaging.
- Slide the drip tray assembly into position until it is secure.
Install Water Bottle
Requires standard 3, 4, or 5-gallon water dispenser bottles (bottle not included). Visit www.PrimoWater.com to find Primo Water retailers.
- Remove the tamper seal from the top of the bottle cap. Do NOT remove the plastic cap.
- Clean the bottle cap and neck with a cloth and warm, soapy water, then rinse.
- Lift the bottle and insert it onto the probe. Apply slight pressure until the plug inside the cap pushes in and the bottle is seated. Water will begin to flow into the reservoirs, causing air bubbles in the bottle.
Provide Electricity
Plug the cord into a ground fault interrupting receptacle.
Activate Cold Switch
Notice: This unit will not dispense cold water until the switch is activated.
To activate, push the top side of the green switch in to start cooling water. If you do not want cold water, leave the switch in the off position (bottom side pushed in).
Activate Hot Switch (Not on All Models)
Notice: This unit will not dispense hot water until the switch is activated.
To activate, push the top side of the red switch in to start heating water. If you do not want hot water, leave the switch in the off position (bottom side pushed in).
Activate Nightlight (Not on All Models)
To activate, push the top side of the blue switch in. The LED bulb behind the center spout will light. If you do not want a nightlight, leave the switch in the off position (bottom side pushed in).

Operation
This dispenser has been tested and sanitized prior to packing. During transit, dust and odors can accumulate. Dispense and dispose of at least one quart of water before drinking.
Dispensing Cold Water
It will take approximately 1 hour after setup for water to reach maximum cold temperature. The compressor may run continuously during this time, which is normal.
- Position a bottle, glass, pitcher, or cooking pot below the spout.
- Press the cold water control (dark blue) downward to start water flow. ▶️
- Release the control once the desired fill level is achieved.
Dispensing Cool Water (Not on All Models)
- Position a bottle, glass, pitcher, or cooking pot below the spout.
- Press the cool water control (light blue) downward to start water flow. ▶️
- Release the control once the desired fill level is achieved.
Dispensing Hot Water (Not on All Models)
CAUTION: This unit dispenses water at temperatures that can cause severe burns. Avoid direct contact with hot water. Keep children and pets away from the unit while dispensing. Never allow children to dispense hot water without proper and direct supervision. Unplug the unit to prevent unsupervised use by children.
Hot water will be available in 15-20 minutes after setup.
- Position a bottle, glass, pitcher, or cooking pot below the spout.
- Slide the red button away from you and depress the control downward to start water flow. ▶️
- Release the control once the desired fill level is achieved.
Maintenance
For best taste, performance, and hygiene, clean the cold tank at least every 3 months. Clean the cabinet, controls, and spout each time you change the water bottle. Empty and clean the drip tray as needed.
To minimize mineral deposits, use only high-quality purified bottled water, such as Primo.

Troubleshooting
Water is leaking.
A bottle leak too large for the Leak Guard may be the cause. Remove the bottle, dispense one quart of water, and install a new bottle. If the leak persists, remove the bottle and call 1-866-429-7566 for assistance.
No water is coming from the spout.
- Ensure the bottle is not empty; replace if necessary.
- Make sure the water controls are pushed in fully.
Cold water is not cold.
- It takes up to one hour after setup for cold water to dispense.
- Ensure the power cord is properly connected to a working outlet.
- Verify the back of the dispenser is at least 4 inches from a wall, with free airflow on all sides.
- Confirm the green switch on the back of the dispenser is ON.
- If water is still not cold, call 1-866-429-7566 for assistance.
Hot water is not hot. (Not on All Models)
- It takes 15-20 minutes after setup for hot water to dispense.
- Ensure the power cord is properly connected to a working outlet.
- Confirm the red switch on the back of the dispenser is ON.
Nightlight Isn't Working (Not on All Models)
- Ensure the power cord is properly connected to a working outlet.
- Confirm the nightlight switch on the back of the dispenser is ON.
Dispenser Is Noisy
Ensure the dispenser is positioned on a level surface.
