Assembly Steps
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your PAX wardrobe:
- Prepare the panels: Lay the side panels flat on a protected surface. Ensure you have the correct orientation for assembly.
- Attach brackets: Secure the designated brackets to the side panels using the provided screws.
- Assemble the frame: Connect the side panels and the top/bottom panels to form the main structure of the wardrobe.
- Install internal fittings: Attach any internal shelves, rods, or drawers according to the diagrams.
- Attach back panel: Slide or nail the back panel into place, ensuring it is square.
- Wall Mounting:
- Step 1: Position the wardrobe against the wall where it will be located.
- Step 2: Identify the wall mounting points on the wardrobe and the corresponding locations on the wall.
- Step 3: Use appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included) suitable for your wall type to secure the wardrobe to the wall. Ensure the wardrobe is stable and level.
- Step 4: The maximum depth for wall mounting screws should not exceed 22 mm (7/8").
- Final Checks: Ensure all screws are tightened and the wardrobe is stable.
Note: The diagrams illustrate the assembly process. Pay close attention to the orientation of parts and the direction of movement indicated by arrows.
Important Considerations
Tip-over Prevention: Always use the provided wall attachment devices to secure the wardrobe to the wall. This is crucial to prevent serious or fatal injuries from furniture tip-over.
Wall Fasteners: Screws and wall plugs suitable for your specific wall type are not included. It is essential to use fasteners that are appropriate for your walls. If you are unsure, consult a professional.
