8. Safety Instructions
The Hiboy Titan Pro electric scooter is a leisure device. However, when used in public areas, it is considered a vehicle and is subject to the same risks. For your safety, please follow the instructions in this manual and adhere to traffic laws and regulations set forth by government and regulatory agencies.
Understand that risks cannot be entirely avoided. Others may violate traffic regulations and drive incautiously, exposing you to road accidents similar to walking or biking. The faster the scooter, the longer it takes to stop. On smooth surfaces, the scooter may slip, lose balance, and result in a fall. Therefore, it is crucial to use caution, maintain proper speed and distance, especially in unfamiliar areas.
Respect pedestrians' Right of Way. Avoid startling them, especially children. When riding behind pedestrians, ring your bell to alert them and slow down to pass on their left (applicable in countries where vehicles drive on the right). When crossing paths with pedestrians, keep to the right at a low speed, or dismount if necessary.
Closely follow the safety instructions in this manual. Hiboy shall not be liable for any financial losses, physical injuries, accidents, legal disputes, or other conflicts resulting from actions that violate user instructions.
Do not lend your scooter to individuals unfamiliar with its operation. If lending to friends, ensure they understand the operation and wear safety gear.
Check the scooter before every use. If you notice loose parts, low battery alerts, excessive wear, strange sounds, or malfunctions, stop riding immediately.
⚠ WARNING: Risk of Fire - No User Serviceable Parts.
9. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
If stains appear on the scooter's body, wipe them off with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, apply toothpaste and brush with a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth.
Notes: Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to prevent damage. Do not wash the board with a high-pressure water spray. During cleaning, ensure the scooter is turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed, as water leakage can cause electric shock or other major problems. When not in use, store the scooter indoors in a dry and cool place. Do not leave it outdoors for extended periods. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling can accelerate battery pack lifespan.
Battery Maintenance
- Use original battery packs. Using other models or brands may lead to safety issues.
- Do not touch the battery contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits, which could result in battery damage or injury/death.
- Use the original power adapter to avoid potential damage or fire.
- Mishandling of used batteries can cause significant environmental harm. To protect the environment, please follow local regulations for proper battery disposal.
- After every use, fully charge the battery to prolong its lifespan.
Storage and Disposal
- Please store the scooter in a cool and dry place, ideally between 14°F and 104°F. In extremely humid environments, the scooter's interior may experience condensation or water accumulation, potentially damaging the battery rapidly. Devices are not intended for use at elevations greater than 2000 m above sea level. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements may damage enclosure materials. Store indoors when not in use.
- In daily use, try to avoid recharging the scooter after completely exhausting the battery. If the battery is low, charge it as soon as possible.
