Important Safety Precautions
⚠️ Read carefully before use: Improper usage may cause electric shock and damage the equipment.
- Use appropriate measurement category (CAT), voltage, and amperage rated probes, test leads, and adapters.
- Do not use or store the device in environments with explosive gases, vapors, or under high temperature and humidity.
- Keep fingers behind the physical guard when handling test probes and crocodile clips.
- Examine test leads for insulation deterioration before use. Replace damaged leads with proper functional ones.
- Connect the common test lead before the live test lead, and disconnect the live test lead before the common test lead.
- Before measuring current, ensure the instrument has available fuses and disconnect the power supply to the circuit being tested.
- Remove batteries if the device is not used for an extended period or stored above 45°C to prevent battery leakage and damage.

How to Perform a Cable Test
The MS6811 consists of a main unit and a remote unit. Follow these steps:

Connect: Connect the remote unit to one end of the network cable and the main unit to the other end.

Power On: Turn both the main unit and the remote unit to the 'ON' position.

Initiate Test: Press the 'TEST' button on the main unit.

Interpret Results: Observe the LED indicators on both units to determine the cable status.
- GOOD PAIR: LEDs 4-5 and 7-8 light up green on both units. ✔️
- SHORT: LEDs 1-2 and 3-6 light up red on the main unit, and the 'SHORT' indicator illuminates. ?
- REVERSED: LEDs 1-2 and 3-6 light up in a reversed sequence across the main and remote units.
- MISWIRE: LEDs light up in an incorrect or mixed sequence, indicating a miswiring.
- SPLIT PAIRS: LEDs indicate that pairs are split (e.g., 1-3, 2-6).
- LOW BATTERY: The 'LOW BATTERY' indicator illuminates. ?
