Safety Instructions
Please read and follow these operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
⚡ Risk of electric shock! Use only indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. Connect only to a correctly installed earthed socket. Ensure the domestic supply's protective conductor system is correctly installed. Repairs must only be carried out by customer service personnel.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced capabilities, if supervised or instructed on safe use and hazards. Keep children under 8 away from the appliance and cable. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by children require supervision for those aged 8+.
Avoid spillage on the connector. Never immerse the appliance, base, or mains cable in water. Use the kettle only with the included base. Do not use if the power cord or appliance shows damage. In case of fault, pull the plug or disconnect from mains immediately.
? Risk of fire! Do not place the base or kettle on or near hot surfaces (e.g., hobs). Avoid grease spatters, as plastic may be damaged.
?️ Risk of scalding! The appliance heats up during use. Pick it up only by the handle and do not open the lid until cooled. Only use when the lid is engaged. Overfilling above the "max" marking may cause splashes of boiling water.
? Risk of burns! Heating element surfaces may remain hot after use.
WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other water-containing vessels.
? Risk of suffocation! Do not allow children to play with packaging material.

⚠️ Caution! Cleaning surfaces in contact with foodstuffs! Follow special cleaning instructions.

Important: Use the kettle only with its included base. Fill only with water. Milk or instant beverages can burn and damage the appliance. Never operate without water or overfill; observe min/max markings. Overfilling may cause water to boil over!
Operation
Before first use:
- Remove any stickers or film.
- Unroll the cable from the tidy and plug it in.
- Fill the kettle with water, bring to a boil, and discard. Repeat this procedure to clean the kettle.
- For the first boil, add a tablespoon of white vinegar.
Boiling water:
- Fill the kettle with fresh water through the spout or by opening the lid using the button.
- Read the water level indicator. Fill between 0.3 litres (min) and 1.7 litres (max) of water.
- Close the lid.
- Press the switch down; it will light up, indicating heating.
- The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled.
- The appliance can also be switched off manually by pulling the switch up.
Important Notes:
- If the kettle is removed from the base and replaced before heating is complete, it will not continue heating.
- Operate only with the lid closed and the limescale filter inserted for automatic shut-off.
- Condensation may form on the base; this is normal and does not indicate a leak.
- Allow the kettle to cool for 5 minutes before refilling.
- Do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty, as the overheat control will switch it off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
? Risk of electric shock! Never immerse the device in water or place it in the dishwasher. Do not steam-clean.
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Clean the outside of the kettle and base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Remove the limescale filter, soak in vinegar, then rinse clean with water.
- Rinse the kettle and filter with clear water.
Descaling
Regular descaling:
- Extends the kettle's lifespan.
- Ensures proper function.
- Saves energy.
Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercial descaling agent.
- Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.7L mark and bring to a boil. Add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours, or use a commercial descaler following manufacturer's instructions.
- Rinse the kettle and limescale filter with clear water.
⚠️ Caution: Never use hard objects to remove limescale residue, as this will damage the seal.
Tip: If you use the kettle daily, descale more frequently.
Troubleshooting
- Appliance does not heat, switch does not light up: The overheat control has tripped. Let the kettle cool down for some time to allow it to be switched on again.
- Unit turns off before water boils: The kettle is scaled. Descale the kettle as per instructions.
