Product Overview
Buffalo 1.95kW Commercial Non-Stick Rice Cooker, 6 Litre capacity. Features a rice capacity of 13 Litre Cooked / 6 Litre Dry. Dimensions: 345(H) x 460(W) x 400(D)mm. Model: J300-A.
Safety Tips
- Position on a flat, stable surface.
- Installation and repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician. Do not remove any components.
- Comply with Local and National Standards, including Health and Safety at Work Legislation, BS EN Codes of Practice, Fire Precautions, IEE Wiring Regulations, and Building Regulations.
- Do NOT immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not touch hot surfaces with bare hands. Always use protective gloves.
- Use extreme caution when moving or handling appliances containing hot oil or other hot liquid.
- Never fill the inner bowl above the top water line.
- Never allow water or any liquid into the outer pot.
- Only use provided utensils. Sharp objects may damage the non-stick coating of the inner bowl.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not plug in the cable until ready to cook. The rice cooker's power remains ON unless unplugged.
- Always switch off and disconnect the power supply when not in use.
- Not suitable for outdoor use.
- Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of packaging according to local authority regulations.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a BUFFALO agent or a recommended qualified technician to avoid a hazard.

Operation
Cooking Tips
- Wash rice thoroughly before cooking to prevent sticking.
- A small amount of vegetable oil can help separate grains.
- Brown or wild rice may require additional water.
Using the Rice Cooker
The inner bowl has measurement lines. The provided cup measures rice and water.
Control panel features: Cook light, Keep Warm light, Lever.
- Measure desired amount of rice using the measuring cup. Note: One cup of rice yields approximately two cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse rice in a sieve under running water to remove excess bran and starch.
- Pour rice into the inner bowl, spreading evenly.
- Add correct amount of water using the measuring cup or by filling the inner bowl to the appropriate level. Note: Slightly reduce water for firmer rice, increase for softer rice.
- Place the inner bowl into the rice cooker. Note: Ensure the outside of the inner bowl is dry.
- Close the lid until the latch snaps shut.
- Connect the rice cooker to the power.
- Depress the lever to the COOK position. The Cook light turns on.
- When cooking finishes, the switch automatically moves to the WARM position. The Warm light turns on.
- Keep the lid closed for 10-15 minutes for best results.
- Carefully open the lid, allowing steam and condensation to run back into the rice cooker. WARNING: Always take care to avoid steam expulsion when opening the lid. Always use heat-proof gloves when removing the inner bowl after cooking.
- Stir and serve rice as quickly as possible.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Rice/Water Measurements
As a general guide, use one full cup of water for each full cup of rice. Adjust water for desired firmness.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Note: Always switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning. Always allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
- Remove the inner bowl and wash in warm, soapy water. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or products unsuitable for non-stick coatings.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Clean the exterior with a damp cloth.
- Ensure the heating plate is clean and free of debris that could interfere with cooking.
- Dry the heating plate thoroughly before use.
- Remove the water collector from below the lid hinge by pulling outwards (See Figure 1). Discard collected water after each use.
- Clean and replace the water collector.

Electrical Wiring
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
Wiring:
- Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
- Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
- Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed using a dedicated earthing circuit. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
Ensure electrical isolation points are clear and accessible for emergency disconnection.
