4.0 Maintenance
Recommended inspection interval: 6 Months.
Inspect the unit every six months for trouble-free operation and extended product life. Due to robust construction, minimal maintenance is usually required. However, 'O' ring weather seals may need replacement approximately every five years if exposed to extreme weather. Regularly check fixings, fastenings, cable entries, and cables for tightness and integrity. Harsh environments may require more frequent inspections.
During each inspection:
- Check and replace 'O' ring weather seals if necessary.
- Check and replace the washer nozzle if necessary.
- Check and replace the window wiper blade if necessary.
Familiarize yourself with the instructions before servicing the Pan/Tilt or housing.
4.1 Corrosion Protection
Although components are AISI 316L stainless steel, improper maintenance, handling, or cleaning can lead to mild discolouration due to oxidation. Ferrous deposits from handling equipment or nearby particles can accelerate corrosion. Clean units immediately following EATON guidelines if ferrous deposits are present. In corrosive atmospheres, clean every 3-4 months using EATON-recommended products and procedures. EATON is not responsible for oxidation due to incorrect cleaning procedures.
[Warning Symbol] Indicates EATON's disclaimer regarding oxidation.
