Detailed Product Information
Fig. 828 Universal Sway Brace Attachment to Steel (UL Listed)
Size Range: Fits 3/8" (9.4mm) to 7/8" (22.2mm) thick steel structure. For thicknesses less than 3/8" (9.4mm), refer to Fig. 825 and Fig. 825A.
Material: Steel.
Function: To attach sway bracing and/or hangers to various types of steel structural members.
Features: Permits secure non-friction connection without drilling or welding. Unique design allows offset placement on wide flange beam, C-channel, open web, welded steel trusses, etc. Secures brace to structure either across or along the beam. Break-off set bolts allow for visual verification of proper installation torque.
Approvals: Underwriters Laboratories Listed (UL/cUL). Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).
Installation: Combines with transitional attachment, bracing pipe, and braced pipe attachment to form a complete bracing assembly. NFPA 13 guidelines should be followed. Slide onto beam flange, tighten set screws until heads break off. Install swivel fitting.
Finish: Plain or Electro-Galvanized.

Size Range: Same as UL Listed version.
Material: Steel.
Function: To attach sway bracing and/or hangers to steel structural members.

Approvals: Factory Mutual Approved (FM). Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).

Finish: Plain or Electro-Galvanized.

Load Data: Tables provided for FM Approved Allowable Horizontal Load (Brace Perpendicular to Beam) and (Brace Parallel to Beam) based on brace angle (30°-44°, 45°-59°, 60°-74°, 75°-90°).

AWSD Series Power Stud+® SD2 Seismic Wedge Anchors
Features: Fully threaded, torque-controlled wedge anchor for cracked and uncracked concrete. Suitable for concrete, structural sand lightweight concrete, and concrete over metal deck. Nominal drill bit size matches anchor diameter. ICC-ES listed (ESR-2502, Category 1). Zinc plated carbon steel body with stainless steel expansion clip. Qualified for seismic and wind loading.
Approvals: ICC-ES Listed, UL Listed, FM Approved. Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).

Size Range: Fits bracing pipe 1" (25mm) thru 2" (50mm), 12 gauge (2.6mm) channel.
Material: Carbon steel.
Function: Multi-functional attachment to structure or braced pipe fitting.
Features: Concentric attachment opening critical for seismic connections (NFPA 13, 2019 Section 18.5.11.5). Mounts to any surface angle. Break-off bolt head verifies proper installation torque.
Approvals: UL Listed (USA/Canada). Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).
Installation: Structural or transitional component of a longitudinal or lateral brace assembly. Combine with bracing pipe and other TOLCO attachments. NFPA 13 guidelines apply. Place onto bracing pipe, tighten set bolt until head breaks off. Attachment pivots for angle adjustment.
Finish: Plain, Electro-Galvanized, or Stainless Steel.

Size Range: 1" (25mm) through 8" (200mm) IPS. 10" (250mm) and 12" (300mm) not UL listed.
Material: Steel and stainless steel.
Function: For bracing pipe against sway and seismic disturbance.
Approvals: UL Listed (USA/Canada) for 1"-8" pipe. UL Listed for various sprinkler pipe types. Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).
Installation: "Braced pipe" attachment component. Combine with "bracing pipe" and structural attachment. NFPA 13 guidelines apply. Place over pipe, tighten bolts, engage bracing pipe, tighten set bolt. Pivots for angle adjustment.
Finish: Plain, Electrogalvanized, Hot Dip Galvanized, or Stainless Steel (for 4" & 6" sizes).

Size Range: Pipe size to be braced: 1" (25mm) thru 8" (200mm) IPS. Pipe size used for bracing: 1" (25mm) and 11/4" (32mm) Schedule 40 IPS.
Material: Steel.
Function: For bracing pipe against sway and seismic disturbance. Forms a complete sway brace assembly with Fig. 900 Series fitting and bracing pipe.
Features: Field adjustable, no threading of bracing pipe required. Built-in visual verification of correct installation. Can be installed on top or bottom of pipe.
Approvals: UL Listed (USA/Canada). Included in Seismic Engineering Guidelines approved by OSHPD (California).
Installation: Position over pipe, tighten set bolts until heads bottom out. Minimum 1" pipe extension recommended. Brace pipe can be installed on top or bottom.
Finish: Plain, Electro-Galvanized, or Hot Dip Galvanized.
