3. Description
The PIR sensor consists of the following components:
- Fresnel lens: Captures motion.
- Battery (purchase separately): Power source.
- Magnetic holder: For mounting.
- Indicator: Status light.
- SET: Button for pairing/setting.
- Back case: Encloses the battery and electronics.
Diagram Description: An illustration shows the sensor's components. The main unit has a Fresnel lens on the front, an indicator light, and a SET button. It attaches to a magnetic holder. The back case opens to reveal the battery compartment. The battery is noted as a separate purchase.
4. Battery Installation
Diagram Description: The process involves two steps:
- Open the back case by twisting it anticlockwise. An arrow indicates the direction of rotation.
- Install a CR123A 3V battery into the compartment. The battery is noted as a separate purchase. The diagram shows the battery correctly oriented within the compartment.
5. Link/Unlink
The PIR sensor needs to be paired with compatible lights. Multiple lights can be controlled by a single sensor.
1). Linking Code Instructions
Diagram Description: This section illustrates the pairing process with three steps:
- Step 1: Power off the light for 10 seconds, then power it back on. (Diagram shows Power -> Light connection).
- Step 2: Short press the "SET" button on the PIR sensor 3 times within 3 seconds. (Diagram shows a hand pressing the SET button on the sensor).
- Step 3: The light will blink 3 times slowly, indicating successful linking. (Diagram shows Power --- Light connection).
Note: Linking failed if the light is not blinking slowly. Please follow the steps again. Lights that have already been linked cannot be linked again.
2). Unlinking Code Instructions
Diagram Description: This section illustrates the unpairing process with three steps:
- Step 1: Power off the light for 10 seconds, then power it back on. (Diagram shows Power -> Light connection).
- Step 2: Short press the "SET" button on the PIR sensor 5 times within 3 seconds. (Diagram shows a hand pressing the SET button on the sensor).
- Step 3: The light will blink 10 times quickly, indicating successful unlinking. (Diagram shows Power --- Light connection).
Note: Unlinking failed if the light is not blinking quickly. Please follow the steps again. Lights that have not been linked do not need to be unlinked.
6. Function Description
- Brightness feature while motion detected: When motion is detected, the light turns on. The brightness can be set to 20% or 100%.
- Light Sense:
- ON: The PIR sensor only operates in gloomy or dark areas.
- OFF: The PIR sensor operates in any lighting condition.
- Night Light:
- ON: The light turns on automatically when transitioning from bright to gloomy conditions (at 1% brightness) and turns off automatically when transitioning from gloomy to bright conditions.
- OFF: The light remains off when motion is not detected in any condition.
- Hold time while motion detected: This function sets the duration the light stays on after motion is detected. Options include 30 seconds, 2 minutes, 10 minutes, or 60 minutes. For example, if set to 30 seconds, the light will turn on upon motion detection and stay on for 30 seconds after the last detected motion. If no new motion is detected within that 30-second period, the light will turn off.
7. Function setting method
Factory default settings:
- Brightness feature while motion detected: 100%
- Hold time while motion detected: 30 seconds
- Light sense: OFF
- Night Light: OFF
Diagram Description: The sensor can be set up using a compatible remote control. The maximum effective distance between the sensor and the remote is 1 meter.
Setup Process:
- Step 1: Long press the "SET" button on the sensor. The indicator light will flash quickly, indicating the start of the setup mode. (Attention: The setup mode will exit automatically if there is no operation within 10 seconds).
- Step 2: Short press the desired keys on the remote control to configure the functions. Details are provided in the table below.
Set up function | Remote Action |
---|---|
Brightness feature while motion detected | Press 'Master On: 100%' or 'Master Off: 20%' |
Light Sense (ON/OFF) | Press 'Zone-1' then 'On' or 'Off' |
Night Light (ON/OFF) | Press 'Zone-2' then 'On' or 'Off' |
Hold Time | Press 'Zone-3' for 30S or 2 Minutes; Press 'Zone-4' for 10 Minutes or 60 Minutes |

9. Installation Direction
1). Location:
Install the sensor in areas where people typically cross. The sensor should be mounted at a distance of 2 meters above the ground.
Diagram Description: Two diagrams illustrate the detection area:
- Vertical View: Shows the sensor mounted at 2m height, with lines indicating a 120° detection angle and a 7m detection distance.
- Overhead View: Shows the sensor from above, also illustrating the 120° detection angle and 7m detection distance.
2). Environmental Considerations:
Stay away from appliances that can affect temperature, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and ovens. Do not install the sensor where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
Diagram Description: Icons representing a refrigerator, an air conditioner emitting heat waves, and the sun are shown, each with a red cross ❌ over them, indicating areas to avoid.
10. Attention
Diagram Description: The sensor has a removable sticker on its back base for mounting.
- Step 3: Remove the sticker from the back base and fix the base holder onto a suitable position. (Diagram shows a sticker being peeled off, and the sensor being attached to a magnetic base on a wall).
Important Notes:
- If the sensor is not used often, remove the battery and store it in a dry, static-free condition.
- Do not use the sensor near metal objects or areas with strong electromagnetic interference (hertz), as this may affect its communication distance.
