In accordance with the EU Data Act (Regulation 2023/2854), LEDVANCE is committed to ensuring transparency and providing information according to Art. 3, covering data type, format, storage, access, and other relevant details.
Article 3 Paragraph 2 (a): Data Type, Format, and Volume
The connected product is capable of generating the following data:
- Device status data polled from ZigBee network devices.
- ZigBee network configuration data.
- Schedules and daily sunrise and sunset calculations for the device's geographical location.
Data format: Binary.
Estimated volume: Configuration file and additional meta data stored on the device is a maximum of 5 kByte.
Article 3 Paragraph 2 (b): Continuous and Real-time Data Generation
The connected product is capable of generating data continuously and in real-time.
Data is generated event-based after every event in the network. Sunrise and sunset are calculated daily. New target values for color temperature and brightness of the luminaires are calculated periodically between sunrise and sunset, approximately every 15 minutes.
Article 3 Paragraph 2 (c): Data Storage
The connected product is capable of storing data on-device or on a remote server, including the intended duration of retention.
All data is stored on the product until a factory reset of the control unit. A backup of the device and network configuration data is stored in the configuration app on the mobile phone. No data is stored in the cloud.
Users can access all configuration data of the device via the mobile app.
Article 3 Paragraph 2 (d): Data Access, Retrieval, and Erasure
This section details how the user may access, retrieve, or, where relevant, erase the data, including the technical means to do so, as well as their terms of use and quality of service.
Users can access and modify the control unit configuration and the ZigBee Network Configuration via the Biolux Control Unit App.
Users can update the control unit firmware and the firmware of the connected ZigBee devices through the mobile app.
Users can reset the control unit to factory new settings using the Biolux app or by using the reset mechanism on the control unit. App data can be deleted by deleting the app on the mobile phone.
Quality of Service (QOS): ZigBee Wireless Mesh Network 250 kBit Raw data rate and Bluetooth Low Energy Connection 1 Mbit/s Over the Air Data Rate to Mobile App.
