Product Overview: TS4-A-O Optimization

The TS4-A-O is an advanced add-on solution designed to bring smart module functionality to standard Photovoltaic (PV) modules. It enhances PV modules with optimization, rapid shutdown capabilities, and module-level monitoring.

Specifications:

Wiring Methods: Use ANSI/NFPA 70 wiring methods. Connectors from different manufacturers cannot be mated with each other.

Installation Steps

Follow these steps for connecting the TS4-A-O units:

  1. Step 1: Connect to PV Module

    Connect the input cables from the PV module to the TS4-A-O unit. The positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the PV module cables are connected to the corresponding inputs on the TS4-A-O unit.

  2. Step 2: Connect Output Cables in Series

    Connect the output cables of the TS4-A-O units in series. The positive (+) output cable of one unit connects to the negative (-) input cable of the next unit in the string.

  3. Step 3: Completed String Connection

    The final configuration shows multiple TS4-A-O units connected in series, forming a complete PV string.

Note on Installation: When installing TS4-A or TS4-A-Duo, connect the input cables to the PV module before connecting the TS4-A output cables in series. If disconnecting TS4-A or TS4-A-Duo, disconnect the TS4-A output cables from the string before disconnecting the input cables from the PV module.

For frameless modules: Remove metal clips and bolt the TS4-A unit directly to the rail.

Safety Information

High Voltage DANGER: The TS4-A-O units feature Class II double insulation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Electricity will be supplied to the Tigo TS4-A output cables immediately when connected to a PV module exposed to sunlight. Use care when handling.

Rapid Shutdown Compliance: Tigo Rapid Shutdown is compliant with NEC 690.12-2017 and C22.1-2015 Rule 64.218.

Warning: DO NOT DISCONNECT UNDER LOAD.
