Product Diagram
The product features a display with several ports and mounting points on the rear. Key components identified are:

Assembly
Installing the Kickstand
Lay the frame face down on a flat surface and align the stand with the stand insert. The photo frame cannot be positioned vertically.
Wall Mounting
The rear of the photo frame has two mounting holes for attaching to a wall using a screw (not supplied).
Operation
Connecting to Power
- Connect the power adapter to the power input on the frame and plug into an electrical outlet. The frame turns on automatically.
- To manually turn the frame on/off, press and hold the power button on the rear.
Initial Setup
When using the digital photo frame for the first time, follow these steps:
- Select your desired language.
- Connect the frame to your Wi-Fi network.
- Set the date and time.
- Update the frame to the latest firmware version if prompted (highly recommended).
- Enter your name and location (e.g., 'John Doe', 'Living room', 'Kitchen', 'Office').
Download the Frameo App
To send photos to your frame, download the Frameo app on your phone. Find it by scanning the provided QR codes (conceptually) or searching for 'Frameo' on the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Connecting your Phone to the Frame
After downloading and installing the Frameo app:
- On the digital frame, tap the [add friend icon] icon to display a connection code (valid for 12 hours).
- In the Frameo app, tap ‘Connected frames'.
- Tap the [add icon] in the upper right corner.
- Enter the code shown on the digital frame and tap ‘Okay'.
- The frame and app will pair.
- Once paired, you can send photos using the Frameo app.
Sending Photos to the Frame
- In the Frameo app, open the gallery by tapping the [gallery icon].
- Tap the camera icon to take a new photo or select a saved photo and tap 'Next'. (Note: Ensure photo sharing is enabled in phone settings. To select multiple photos, tap the [select multiple icon] first.)
- Select the frame(s) to send the photo to and tap 'Next'.
- Write a caption (optional) and tap 'Next'.
- Select the focal point of the photo and tap ‘Send photo'.
- You will receive a notification on your frame when a new photo is received. Tap it to view.
Navigating Photos
- Swipe left or right to browse photos.
- Photos cycle through as a slideshow without user input.
- Tap the screen once to access the menu.
Menu
The menu provides access to various functions:
- 1. Add friend: Generate a code to share with others for photo sharing.
- 2. Settings: Access device settings.
- 3. Power menu: Access power options (Power, Restart, Sleep).
- 4. React: Open the React menu for photo reactions.
- 5. Hide photo: Hide the current photo from the slideshow.
- 6. Gallery: Browse your photo collection.
- 7. Fill frame/Fit to frame: Toggle photo display mode. 'Fill frame' scales to screen, 'Fit to frame' shows the entire photo with bars.
- 8. Adjust photo: Adjust photo position, rotate, or edit captions.
Note: The 'React' menu can also be accessed by double-tapping the screen.
Video Playback
When a video is shown, additional controls are available:

Power Menu
Access the power menu by tapping the [power icon] on the main menu:
- Power: Turn the frame off.
- Restart: Restart the frame.
- Sleep: Place the frame in sleep mode (screen off, but still receives photos). Press the rear power button to wake.
Note: Always use the 'Power' button or 'Power' menu to turn off the frame. Never disconnect power while the frame is running.
React Menu
Tap one of the four reactions to notify the sender about your feelings towards the photo: [like emoji], [laugh emoji], [surprised emoji], [sad emoji].
Settings
Personalize your frame through the settings menu:
1. My frame
- Frame name: Set a name for your frame, visible to connected users.
- Frame location: Set a location for your frame to help distinguish it from others.
- Set language: Choose the on-frame language.
- Date: Set the date.
- Time: Set the time. The frame automatically syncs time with the internet.
- Time zone: Set the time zone.
- Enable/Disable 24-hour format: Toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time display.
2. Manage photos
View stored photos, storage usage, and available space:
- Show/hide photos: Select photos to hide; they can be shown again later. Tap [show/hide all icon] to toggle all photos.
- Delete photos: Permanently delete photos. Tap [select all icon] to select/deselect all, then tap the [delete icon] to confirm.
- Import photos: Import photos from a microSD card. Ensure a card is inserted. Select photos and tap the import button [import icon]. Tap [select all icon] to select/deselect all on the card. Tap [sort icon] to sort by order, then tap [sort order icon] to set ascending/descending.
- Export photos: Export photos and profile pictures to a microSD card.
3. My friends
Manage users who can send photos to your frame:
- Change options for a friend: Open friend options to allow/deny sharing of the frame code. This enables users to retrieve and share the code. You can also delete a user and their photos via the ‘DELETE FRIEND’ button.
- Add person: Tap the [add friend icon] to allow a new user to send photos and share the code with them.
4. Display
- Brightness level: Adjust screen brightness.
- Sleep mode: Enables a mode to turn off the screen to save power. Default: off at 23:00, on at 07:00. Can be customized. Note: The frame is not powered off in sleep mode and can still receive photos.
5. Slideshow
- Timer: Set photo display duration.
- Show caption: Toggle display of captions sent with photos.
- Fill frame: Set default photo display. 'Fill frame' scales to screen, 'Fit to frame' shows entire photo with bars.
- Frame background: Select background options for photos that don't fill the screen.
- Photo display order: Set order: by date taken, by date received, or shuffled.
- Reverse photo display order: Reverse the display order.
- Autoplay: Enable/disable video autoplay in the slideshow.
- Video playback: Set how videos play (Loop, Play once, Play once and continue).
- Auto mute: Automatically mute video volume after a period of inactivity.
- Video volume: Adjust video volume.
6. Wi-Fi
Connect to Wi-Fi networks. For captive portals, tap the [Wi-Fi icon] to log in.
- Wi-Fi details: View connected Wi-Fi details.
- Reset Wi-Fi: Delete Wi-Fi info and restart the frame.
7. Notifications
- Show notifications: Enable/disable notifications (e.g., new photo received).
- Notification volume: Adjust notification volume.
- Storage space: Enable/disable low storage notifications.
- Backup: Enable/disable notifications for backup failures.
- Network connection: Enable/disable network connection status notifications.
- New photos: Enable/disable notifications for new photos.
- New friends: Enable/disable notifications for new users.
- Software update: Enable/disable notifications for software updates.
- Feature news: Enable/disable notifications for new features.
- Date and time: Enable/disable notifications if date/time is incorrect.
8. Backup and Restore
- Backup frame to external storage (microSD card): Create a backup of photos, users, and settings. The latest backup time is shown. WARNING: Existing backups will be overwritten.
- Automatic backup: Automatically backs up within 30 hours of new photos or changes.
- Restore from backup: Restore from a backup. Ensure the backup is up-to-date. If not, create a new one. To keep old and new frames operational, ensure both are updated. To restore on an already set-up frame, reset it first using the 'Reset frame' button. Then select 'Restore from backup' on the setup screen. If the button is not visible, check the microSD card.
- Reset frame: Permanently removes all data (photos, users, network, settings).
9. Help
- Open source libraries: View app licenses.
- Share anonymous analytics data: Keep checked to share data, uncheck to deny.
- Guide: Opens the quick start guide.
10. About
- Hardware brand and model number: Displays product details.
- Frameo version: Shows current software version.
