Energizer Smart WiFi Video Doorbell Installation Guide

System Requirements

• A working wired doorbell
• 16-24V AC 10VA transformer voltage
• WiFi router with internet connection (2.4GHz 802.11n)
• Android 7.0 or higher / iOS 11 or higher
• Energizer Connect App

Installation Steps

1. Locate your mechanical chime and turn off the power breaker for your doorbell circuit. Verify the power is off by ringing the doorbell. Professional installation by an electrician is recommended.
2. Remove your old doorbell and disconnect the two wires. Clean any corrosion from the wires.
3. Choose a mounting bracket (flat or wedge+flat for an angled view) and install it around the wires using the appropriate screws. Ensure the bracket is level for best results.
4. Option 1: Mounting Flat Bracket: Mount the bracket to the wall with the arrow facing up and the foam backing against the wall. Secure tightly to prevent water exposure to wires.
5. Option 2: Mounting Wedge+Flat Bracket: Position the wedge bracket for the desired viewing angle and mount it to the wall. Attach the flat bracket to the wedge bracket using short screws, ensuring the arrow faces up.
6. Connect the two wires to the screw terminals on the back of the doorbell. If wires are too short, use the included wire crimp extenders. Ensure connections are secure.
7. Install the doorbell into the mounting bracket, starting with the top and securing the bottom.
8. Secure the doorbell with the included security screw and tool.
9. Remove the cover and batteries (if applicable) from your mechanical chime. Connect the wires from the power kit to the chime's screw terminals, ensuring existing wires remain connected.
10. Affix the power kit inside or outside the chime cover using double-sided tape, ensuring it does not interfere with the chime's mechanical parts.
11. Turn the doorbell power back on at the fuse box. The doorbell light should turn on and become solid blue after a few minutes.
12. Open the Energizer Connect App, select the doorbell, choose the appropriate chime setting, and finalize the setup.

Troubleshooting

Doorbell Issues:

1. If the doorbell light does not illuminate or the app cannot locate the product, check that power has been restored at the fuse box.
2. Verify that the wire connections at the screw terminals are secure. Remember to turn the power off and on again after checking.

Chime Issues:

1. Ensure "MECHANICAL CHIME" is selected in the Energizer Connect App's "CHIME SETTINGS".
2. Check that the power kit and cables are not obstructing the mechanical chime's movement.
3. If the chime still does not work, try removing the power kit, turning the power off and on again, and re-selecting "MECHANICAL CHIME" in the app.
4. If the issue persists, use the included wireless chime and select "WIRELESS CHIME" in the app.
