Make the most of your Energizer camera by using key features available on the Energizer Connect App.
Night Vision
Easily view the camera stream at night or in dark conditions.
How to control Night Vision:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera menu. Navigate to the camera features view.
- Select the [Night Vision icon] to choose from the following options:
- INFRARED MODE: Uses only infrared Night Vision.
- COLOR LIGHT MODE: Turns the LED light on when Night Vision is enabled for enhanced visibility.
- SMART MODE: Uses infrared Night Vision but turns the LED light on when motion is detected.
- Select the [Night Vision On/Off icon] to control the Infrared LED lights (only available when camera is in INFRARED or SMART modes):
- ON: Infrared lights will always be on.
- OFF: Infrared lights will always be off.
- AUTO: Infrared lights will automatically turn on when it's dark and off when it's light.
Note: Smart Mode will only work when Motion Detection is enabled.
Multi-White LED Light
Operate the built-in, multi-white LED light and set schedules to turn it on/off automatically.
How to control the LED light:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera menu. Navigate to the camera features view.
- Select the [Light icon] to operate the light:
- TOP SLIDING SCALE: Change the hue from maximum hue warm white (0%) to maximum hue cool white (100%).
- BOTTOM SLIDING SCALE: Dim the light intensity from 0-100%.
- SWITCH: Turn on/off the LED light.
- TIMING: Create a schedule that will turn the LED light on/off automatically on pre-set times and days of the week (note that the light hue cannot be customized in this feature).
Note: You can also turn the LED light on/off with one click by pressing the power button beside your device on the main app screen.
Motion Detection & Motion Tracking
Motion Detection alerts you when movements are detected on camera. When Motion Detection is enabled, you can turn on Motion Tracking to automatically pan and tilt the camera to follow on-screen movements.
How to activate Motion Detection and Motion Tracking:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera menu. Navigate to the camera features view.
- Select the [Motion Detection icon] and [Motion Tracking icon] to turn on both features. (Note: You can turn on Motion Detection without enabling Motion Tracking, but you cannot use Motion Tracking without first enabling Motion Detection.)
Customizing Motion Detection Settings:
You can also use the app to customize your Motion Detection settings:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera settings.
- Select Detection Settings under the Advanced Settings section. Here are some of the customizations you can make:
- ALARM SENSITIVITY LEVEL: Adjust the Motion Detection sensitivity.
- HUMAN BODY FILTERING: When toggled on, the camera will use machine learning technology to notify you only when human-shaped figures are detected on screen. This reduces false triggers and reduces the number of alerts sent to your connected devices.
- SOUND DETECTION: When toggled on, you will receive alerts when sounds are detected on camera (Note: you can also turn on Sound Detection by choosing the [Sound Detection icon] in the camera features view).
- ALARM SENSITIVITY LEVEL (SOUND): Adjust the Sound Detection sensitivity (only works when Sound Detection is turned on).
- SCHEDULE: Choose "Add to" to create customized schedules that will automatically turn on/off Motion Detection and Sound Detection.
- SIREN TRIGGER: When toggled on, the camera will emit a siren deterrent when motion is detected (Motion Detection must be activated for this feature to work).
One-Way & Two-Way Audio
With One-Way Audio, you can either listen to the camera audio or speak through the microphone, but not both at the same time. With Two-Way Audio, you can listen and speak at the same time, allowing for a conversation between you and whoever is on camera.
How to choose One-Way or Two-Way Audio:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera settings.
- Select "Basic Function Settings" (located in the Basic Settings section).
- Select [Talk Mode] to switch between "One-Way Communication" and "Two-Way Talk".
How to control the camera speaker and microphone:
- The speaker icon on the top right of the main camera screen controls the camera audio. When it's turned on, you will hear the camera audio in the app. Turning it off mutes the camera audio.
- You can adjust the volume by selecting the [Device Volume icon] in the features view of the main camera menu.
- The microphone icon (for One-Way Audio) or phone icon (for Two-Way Audio) on the bottom of the main camera screen allows you to speak to anyone on camera:
- One-Way Audio: Press and hold the [microphone icon]. This will temporarily mute your camera audio and allow you to speak to those on camera.
- Two-Way Audio: Select the [phone icon]. This will allow you to speak to those on camera while still playing the camera audio.
Site Saving & Preset Points
Save specific camera views to make it easier to monitor important sites around your property.
How to save sites:
- Manually move the camera to capture your desired view. Use the camera stream on the Energizer Connect App to verify your site selection.
- Once you are satisfied with your selection, open the camera menu on the app and select the [Site icon].
- Select [Add Site] to name and save your pre-set camera view. Once saved, you can click on the site to automatically move the camera to that location and monitor it anytime.
How to set Preset Points:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera settings.
- Select [Preset Point] from the camera settings (located under Advanced Settings). From here, you can save up to four camera views as Preset Points. (Note: You can either manually move the camera to capture your desired view, or you can use the on-screen navigation buttons.)
You can also save specific camera views to use in camera automations.
Patrol Your Space
Set a timer to automatically pan the camera around your entire space using Patrol mode.
How to activate Patrol mode:
- Go to the main camera screen in the Energizer Connect App and open the camera menu. Navigate to the camera features view.
- Select the [Patrol icon] to open Patrol mode. Make sure Enable Patrol is toggled on.
- Select Cruise Plan to specify a time for your patrol. To create a new patrol time, select [Add].
You will be asked to input the time, day(s) of the week, a tag or shortcut name for your patrol time, and a “cruise point standing time," which specifies how many seconds the camera will remain at each viewpoint.
Click "Save" to add your new patrol time. You can add multiple patrol times and turn them on/off as needed using the toggle beside each time.
Note: Be aware the camera may begin patrolling 30 seconds after the set time.
Create a Smart Scene
Make it easier and more convenient to operate your camera with customized automations, also called "Smart Scenes."
How to create a new Smart Scene:
- Go to the Energizer Connect App home screen and click on the [+] sign to add a new scene. From here you can create a scene based on:
- TAP-TO-RUN: Create a shortcut to execute a series of camera functions with a single tap. For example, you can create a tap-to-run button that will turn on your camera, LED light, and enable Motion Detection all at once.
- WEATHER CHANGES: Create an automation that will execute camera functions based on weather conditions. For example, you can trigger the camera to turn off automatically when the temperature is high to prevent the device from overheating.
- FIXED TIME: Create an automation that will execute camera functions at a set time and day(s) of the week.
- DEVICE STATUS CHANGES: Create an automation that will execute certain camera functions based on other camera functions. For example, you can trigger the camera's Sound Detection to turn on when Motion Tracking is activated.
