General Usage and Safety Precautions
Read installation instructions carefully. Failure to comply may cause damage and void manufacturer responsibility. Ensure vehicle structure/tailgate is strong enough for mounting points. Do not exceed maximum load per axle or vehicle weight limits. Distribute weight evenly, placing heavier bikes closer to the vehicle. Signal the carrier if it extends beyond vehicle dimensions. Use additional mirrors if rear visibility is reduced. Adapt driving style, especially when reversing, and be mindful of parking assistance systems. Adhere to speed limits and traffic laws. Check trailer hitch for clearance if towing a trailer. Regularly inspect all fixing elements, especially after initial kilometers and before long journeys. Replace worn rubber parts or straps immediately. Ensure clamps do not move laterally or contact the vehicle roof or tailgate hinges. Do not close the tailgate if lower brackets are not securely fastened. Check that the carrier does not interfere with the tailgate opening mechanism or roof structures. Ensure sufficient clearance between bikes and vehicle windows to prevent damage. Remove bike accessories like child seats or baskets, as they may detach due to vibrations. Be aware that bikes may obstruct the rear wiper; check its range before activation. The bike cover cannot be used with this Carry-Bike model.
