Product Description
The EU-R-8b Plus room regulator is designed to work with TECH external controllers and should be installed in heating zones. It transmits current room temperature and humidity readings to the external controller, which then manages thermostatic valves to maintain the desired temperature.
The screen displays the current temperature. The middle button [Button ●] allows switching between temperature and humidity display, and also confirms settings. The regulator enables permanent or temporary changes to the pre-set zone temperature.
Controller Equipment:
- Built-in temperature sensor
- Air humidity sensor
- Wall-mountable casing
How to Use the Regulator
The regulator features a display and three buttons:
- 1. Display: Shows current zone temperature.
- 2. Button [Button <]: Decreases value or navigates previous menu item.
- 3. Button [Button ●]: Changes displayed parameter (temperature/humidity), confirms settings, or enters the menu (hold).
- 4. Button [Button >]: Increases value or navigates next menu item.
To replace batteries or connect a floor sensor, remove the back cover.
Low Battery Indicator
When the regulator's battery is low, the screen will display "Lo" [Low Battery Indicator]. Replace batteries with 2xAAA 1.5V for proper operation.
How to Register a Room Regulator in a Given Zone
Each room regulator must be registered to a zone via the external controller menu (Zone / Registration / Sensor). After selecting the registration icon, press the button on the back of the room regulator.
Successful registration is confirmed on the external controller and the regulator displays "Scs". An "Err" message indicates a registration error.
Important Notes:
- Buttons must be unlocked for registration.
- Only one room regulator can be assigned per zone.
- A regulator can function as a floor sensor; press the communication button twice to register it as such.
- Hold the registration button to view the current software version.
- If "Una" appears despite correct registration, wait approximately 4 minutes or force communication by holding the registration button for 2 seconds until the program version is displayed.
Registration Rules:
- Once registered, a sensor cannot be unregistered but can be disabled in the external controller's zone submenu (select OFF).
- Assigning a new sensor to a zone with an existing sensor unregisters the first sensor.
- Assigning a sensor already registered to another zone unregisters it from the first zone and registers it in the new one.
Individual pre-set temperature values and weekly schedules can be set for each registered regulator via the external controller menu or www.emodul.eu. Pre-set temperatures can also be adjusted directly on the regulator using the [Button <] and [Button >] buttons.
How to Change the Pre-set Temperature
Adjust the pre-set zone temperature directly on the EU-R-8b Plus regulator using the [Button <] and [Button >] buttons. The current zone temperature is displayed during inactivity. Use the buttons to change the set value.
Setting Options:
- Permanently: Hold [Button >] until "Con" is displayed. The pre-set temperature will remain indefinitely. Confirm by pressing [Button ●].
- For a Specific Number of Hours: Press [Button <] or [Button >] until the desired number of hours (e.g., 01h) is displayed. The pre-set temperature will apply for that duration, after which the weekly schedule resumes. Confirm by pressing [Button ●].
- Apply Weekly Schedule: Press [Button <] until "OFF" is displayed. The pre-set temperature will revert to the weekly schedule settings. Confirm by pressing [Button ●].
