KALLAX Shelving Unit Assembly Instructions

Safety Warning

WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided.

Screws and plugs for the wall are not included. Use screws and plugs suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instructions carefully.

Assembly may require two people. [two-person-assembly-required]

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Attach the long metal bracket (part 121030) to one of the side panels using two screws (part 100092).

Step 2

Connect two main panels using 2x wooden dowels (part 101339) and a hammer. Ensure panels are aligned.

Step 3

Insert 4x wooden dowels (part 101339) into the internal dividers. Insert these dividers into the frame and secure with a hammer.

Step 4

Insert 2x wooden dowels (part 101339) into another internal divider. Insert and secure with a hammer.

Step 5

Insert dowels into remaining internal dividers and place them into the frame.

Step 6

Insert 6x wooden dowels (part 101339) into the appropriate holes. Attach the top/bottom panels by aligning them with the dowels and securing with a hammer.

Step 7

Slide the final internal shelf/divider panel into its designated slot.

Step 8

Attach the top or bottom panel to the assembled unit. Use 6x screws (parts 104321, 104322) and the Allen key (part 100092) to secure. Also, attach the long bracket (part 121030) using screws (part 100092).

Step 9

Insert 4x round caps (part 153550) into the visible screw holes on the exterior of the unit.

Step 10: Wall Mounting Preparation

Attach the wall brackets (part 103693) to the back of the shelving unit using 2x screws (part 100372) and 2x screws (part 115753).

Step 11: Wall Mounting

Mark the desired position on the wall for the shelving unit. Use a spirit level ? for accuracy. Attach the wall brackets (part 103693) to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included). Secure the unit to the wall brackets using screws (parts 115754, 118673, 118225, 119509). Ensure the unit is stable and securely attached to the wall.
