4. Charging
To charge:

The scooter is fully charged when the charger's LED changes from red to green. While charging automatically cuts off, avoid prolonged charging. Do not connect the charger if the port is wet. Cover the port when not in use. Charge indoors. Use only the manufacturer's recommended charger.
5. Operating Instructions
Always wear a helmet and safety gear to avoid falls and injuries while learning to ride.
- Turn on the power and check the power indicator. Note: The scooter cannot be turned on while charging.

- Once the scooter moves, place both feet on the deck and press the throttle. The throttle engages when speed exceeds 3.1 mph (5 km/h).
- Release the throttle to slow down gradually. Squeeze the brake lever for sudden stops.
- When turning, tilt your body in the direction of the turn and steer the handlebar slowly.
6. Folding and Carrying
Folding:
Ensure the scooter is turned off. Unlock the folding mechanism. Bend the handlebar stem to hook the buckle on the rear fender. To unfold, unhook it, erect the handlebar, and lock the folding mechanism.
Carrying:
Hold the handlebar stem with one or both hands to carry.
7. Dangerous Actions (No Attempting!)
- If the handlebar and stem sway, tighten screws on the folding mechanism with the Allen wrench.
- Do not ride in traffic lanes or residential areas where both vehicles and pedestrians are allowed.
- Do not turn the handlebar abruptly during high-speed riding.
- Do not ride in water deeper than 0.78 inches.
- Do not ride with anyone else, including children.
8. Important Safety Instructions
- Keep hands on the handlebar while riding.
- Do not try riding up or down stairs, or jumping over obstacles.
- Do not ride in the rain.
- Keep speed between 3.1 and 6.2 mph (5-10 km/h) on uneven surfaces. Bend knees slightly to adjust.
- Watch for doors, elevators, and other overhead obstacles.
- Do not accelerate when going downhill.
- Do not press the throttle when walking alongside the scooter.
- Do not hang bags or other heavy objects on the handlebars.

- Follow all safety instructions, especially where regulations are lacking. Hiboy is not liable for issues arising from violating instructions.
- Do not lend the scooter to untrained users. Ensure they wear safety gear.
- Check the scooter before each use for loose parts, low battery, wear, strange sounds, or malfunctions. Stop riding and seek professional support if any are found.
- Devices are not intended for use above 2000m elevation. Prolonged exposure to UV, rain, and elements can damage materials; store indoors.
- ⚠️ WARNING: Risk of Fire - No User-Serviceable Parts.
9. Moving and Storage Instructions
Moving:
When transporting, ensure the scooter is off to prevent accidental activation. Lift the scooter vertically, avoiding tilting or falling. Handle gently.
Storage:
Store indoors in a dry, cool place. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. Excessive sunlight, heat, or cold can accelerate tire aging and reduce lifespan. Store indoors when not in use.
10. User Maintenance Instructions
Cleaning:
Wipe stains with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth. Polish plastic scratches with sandpaper.
Notes:
Do not use volatile solvents (alcohol, gasoline, kerosene). Do not use high-pressure water spray. Ensure the scooter is off, unplugged, and the charging port is covered during cleaning to prevent electric shock.
Battery Maintenance:
- Use original battery packs.
- Do not touch contacts, dismantle, or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal to prevent short circuits.
- Use the original power adapter.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
- Fully charge the battery after each use.
- Avoid extreme temperatures: -10°C to 45°C (14°F to 113°F) for the scooter; 10°C to 40°C (50°F to 104°F) for charging; 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F) for storage.
- Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight in a car or throw it into fire.
- If idle for over 30 days, fully charge and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 60 days.
- Charge before the battery is fully depleted. Battery performance is best at normal temperatures and degrades below 0°C (32°F). Range is halved or less at -20°C (-4°F).
- Damage from prolonged lack of charging is irreversible and not covered by warranty.
