Installing Batteries
Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote. Ensure that the + and – symbols match the + and – symbols in the battery compartment.

Setting Up the Remote
Note: The remote MUST be paired to the TV before use. It will have limited functionality until pairing is performed.
Ensure the TV is on and not in standby mode. The TV can be turned on using the new remote once the batteries are installed.
On the Fire TV, navigate to Settings > Controllers & Bluetooth Devices > Amazon Fire TV Remotes > Add New Remote > Amazon Fire TV Remote. The TV will display a message stating "Searching for remote...".
When the TV displays the available remotes, select "Amazon Fire TV Remote". The message "Pairing the remote..." will be displayed briefly.
Note: The remote may receive a software update once paired with the TV. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete.
Press the voice (?️) button. If a new screen appears, the setup is complete.
Troubleshooting
The buttons on the remote do not work.
Move the remote closer to the TV.
Repeat the setup steps.
Replace the batteries.
Certain services are subject to change at any time, may not be available in all areas, and may require separate subscriptions.
Voice commands do not work.
The remote needs to be added in the Fire TV settings. Refer to the "SETTING UP YOUR REMOTE" section.
Voice commands do not work if basic setup was selected for the TV. To enable voice commands, reset the TV and select "Full" when prompted to pick a setup experience.
