1. Important Warnings
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - DO NOT OPEN
The lightning symbol with an arrow inside an equilateral triangle alerts the user to the presence of dangerous, uninsulated voltage within the apparatus that may pose a risk of electric shock.
The exclamation mark symbol within an equilateral triangle alerts the user to important operating and maintenance instructions accompanying the product.
WARNING (If applicable): Terminals marked with the symbol “” can carry sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. External wiring connected to the terminals must be installed by qualified personnel or use pre-made cables.
WARNING: To prevent electric shock or fire hazards, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture.
WARNING: Class I construction apparatus must be connected via a grounded plug.
2. Important Safety Instructions
- Read these instructions.
- Keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings.
- Follow all instructions.
- Do not use this apparatus near water.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat, including amplifiers.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades, one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The third prong is for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.

6. Setup and Connection
6.1. Connections
The LABI1-SB18p operates on 100-240VAC 50-60Hz, with PFC (Power Factor Correction). Ensure the main cable is not mixed with audio signal cables to avoid interference and hum. The AC connector is a Neutrik® Powercon TRUE1 16A, and it features a mains connection connector to power another LABI1-SB18p unit. For assembly instructions and more information about the connector, visit: https://www.neutrik.com/en/product/nac3fx-w.
The LABI1-SB18p has two balanced XLR audio input connectors, labeled Input1 and Input2. A second LABI1-SB18p can be connected using the 1 (Output1) and 2 (Output2) outputs, also available in XLR connectors. These outputs deliver a copy of the signal received at each input.
Depending on the preset, there are different input-output configurations that allow the system to work in stereo or mono mode (more information in the next chapter). This stereo/mono configuration does not affect the subwoofer output, which always operates in mono mode (In1+In2).
To connect the LABI1-C100i satellite loudspeakers, connect the Speakon® cable from the output connectors of the SB18p, CABINET1 or CABINET2, to the Speakon® input of the C100i. Depending on the selected preset, one or both outputs can be used in mono or stereo mode, with a power of 600W@4Ω. You can connect two C100i column loudspeakers via the LINK output with a Speakon® or Euroblock connector.
The passive subwoofer LABI1-SB18 has one input and one output for stacking with Speakon® connectors.
6.2. Configuration Panel
On the rear panel of the LABI1-SB18p, an LCD screen provides information and configuration tools that allow the user to digitally control the speaker system. The compact joystick located below the screen can be used to configure the basic functions of the internal DSP.
Move the joystick to select the icons on the left side of the screen. The available functions are:
- Home: Displays unit input and output levels. Input (input): Shows a vu-meter with the input level and a clip signal. Output (output): A vu-meter indicates the output level (0 dBu represents the maximum amplifier level). You can also check the compressor and control the dynamic activity.
- Adjustments: Allows modification of audio parameters such as Gain, Mute, Polarity, Delay, and High Pass Filter (type, frequency, and order).
- Folder: Displays the name of the currently active preset and its description. To change presets, use the joystick by moving it in the corresponding direction.
- Configuration: Allows configuration of Ethernet connectivity (automatic or manual) and screen saver behavior. It also allows selecting the input source (analog or AES3) and assigning it to channel 1 or 2.
- Information: Provides general data about the unit's internal components, including model, serial number, firmware/hardware versions, amplifier module details, and accelerometer status.
Important: The desired configuration must be applied individually to each unit, and mains power is required for the system to function correctly. If no interaction occurs, the screen will dim automatically to avoid unwanted illumination. To reactivate the backlight, simply press the joystick.
The next chapter explains in detail the input-output configurations offered by the different presets.
7. Installation and Configuration Systems
The LABI ONE SERIES is designed to allow users to choose from a wide variety of speaker system configurations. Its accessories ensure maximum installation versatility for installing LABI ONE speakers on any desired surface or structure.
7.1. LABI1-C100i: Acoustic Center
When installing the C100i column loudspeakers, it is very important to note that the acoustic center of the column is located between the six loudspeakers at the top. Therefore, the correct working height will be the height of the “acoustic center”.
The LABI1-C100i is in its normal position when the ECLER logo is placed at the bottom of the column. When using two columns to form a single column, the upper column must be placed upside down to create a single “acoustic center” for the column.
In the images below, the green shaded area shows the “acoustic center” of the LABI1-C100i loudspeakers columns.
7.2. Active Speaker Systems
7.2.1. Presets
There are 18 different presets available, selectable from the LCD control panel. These presets are grouped into 6 different loudspeaker configurations, and each group has 3 different DSP configurations to allow the user to choose based on the purpose:
- Standard equalization (S): general equalization for standard music applications.
- Bass boost (B): +3dB on the subwoofer output for music applications with bass reinforcement.
- Voice equalization (V): equalization that emphasizes mid-high frequencies for voice applications, improving intelligibility.
The following table summarizes the available presets:
# | Name | Inputs | Outputs | Loudspeakers | DSP Configuration |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | MONOi_10_2cS | In1 | Out 1 - Mono | 2 LABI1-C100i | S |

17 | STi_1Mo_1cB | B | |||
18 | STi_1Mo_1cV | V |
Note: In stereo presets, the LABI1-SB18p subwoofer always combines inputs In1 + In2.
7.2.2. Loudspeaker Configuration
- Preset 1/2/3 & 13/14/15 (+LABI1-CAC & SAC):
Note: Remember that the upper column must be installed upside down.
- Preset 4/5/6 & 16/17/ (+LABI1-SAC):
- Preset 7/8/9 (+2xLABI1-CAC):
Note: Remember that the upper column must be installed upside down.
- Preset 10/11/12:
The LABI1-C100i can be mounted on different surfaces with its accessories: on a pole (PBC), on a wall (WBC), on a truss (TBC), or on the floor (HBC).
The LABI1-CFC wheel kit makes all these systems mobile, making it easy to move and place the system where needed.
7.3. Passive Speaker Systems
In addition to active speaker systems, the LABI ONE series offers the possibility of installation in passive speaker systems, with external amplification.
The LABI1-SB18 passive subwoofer is designed for installation in fixed speaker systems. Together with the C100i column loudspeakers and external power amplification, different configurations can be assembled with all available accessories, depending on user needs.
There is no rule governing the number of column loudspeakers per subwoofer. It depends mainly on the subwoofer's location and the room's acoustics. Therefore, in a highly reflective room, a subwoofer might even impair intelligibility, while in a room with highly absorbent surfaces, several subwoofers might be necessary. Generally, placing a subwoofer near several surfaces will increase its efficiency. Consequently, the sound pressure level will be higher if the speaker is placed on the floor in a corner rather than next to a wall, and even more so than in the center of a room.
To use the LABI1-C100i in outdoor applications, the LABI1-ODCNX outdoor kit is required to ensure protection of the connections.
