Operation and Features
Programs
The Domyos Challenge Run features 40 preset programs, categorized as:
- In Forma (Fitness): 10 programs designed to help you stay active.
- Perdita di Peso (Weight Loss): 10 programs to aid in fat loss.
- Resistenza (Endurance): 10 programs to improve aerobic capacity and fundamental endurance.
- Allenamento (Training): 10 programs to enhance aerobic power and develop sustained performance.
Each program is divided into segments with specific duration, speed, and incline settings. You can adjust speed and incline during a program using the + and - buttons to match your fitness level. The treadmill will stop automatically at the end of the session, followed by a 2-minute recovery.
Graphical representations of these program profiles (speed and incline over time) are provided in the manual.
Objective Mode
Set a specific time or distance goal for your session and manage your speed and incline to achieve it. The treadmill stops automatically upon completion, followed by a 2-minute recovery.
App Compatibility
The treadmill is compatible with fitness applications like Kinomap and Zwift via Bluetooth FTMS protocol. This allows for personalized training experiences, session tracking, and motivation. A Bluetooth indicator light illuminates when connected to an app.
WiFi Connectivity
Connect the treadmill to your WiFi network via the Kinomap app for automatic product updates and new features. A WiFi indicator light illuminates when connected.
Heart Rate Monitoring
The treadmill is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver compatible with unencoded Bluetooth and ANT+ heart rate monitors (chest straps). Your heart rate will be displayed on the console. This measurement is indicative and not a medical guarantee.
Remote Control
The included remote control allows you to adjust speed and incline during your workout. For safety, it should remain magnetically attached to the console or held by the user. Keep it out of reach of children. A light ring around the remote indicates Bluetooth connection status. To pair, press the + and - buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. A beep and light confirm pairing. Activate the remote by pressing any button when starting the treadmill.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity. Always unplug the treadmill before performing maintenance.
- After Each Use: Unplug the power cable. Check and tighten all external parts. Replace any worn or damaged components immediately.
- Cleaning: Dust and dirt can damage the treadmill. Clean the handrails, side uprights, footrests, frame, and motor cover with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Clean the console and screens similarly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the treadmill or use ammonia/acidic cleaners. Do not use cleaners under the running belt.
- Maintenance Indicator: An indicator appears every 200 km (125 miles) to prompt maintenance (lubrication, screw tightening). Detailed information is available on the Decathlon website. To clear the indicator, insert the safety key and press STOP ■ + + simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Belt Tension Adjustment: Use the console menu (MAINTENANCE > BELT TENSION) to adjust belt tension using the adjustment screws. Follow on-screen instructions.
- Platform Lubrication: Recommended to reduce friction between the belt and the platform. If silicone traces are visible, lubrication may not be necessary. Unplug, lift belt edges, apply 5-10 ml of silicone lubricant. Run the treadmill at 4 km/h for 10-20 seconds. Caution: excessive silicone can cause slipping.
- Belt Centering: Use the indicators on the rear of the treadmill. If red is visible, centering is required. Run the treadmill at 4 km/h. Adjust the left screw clockwise ↻ to center if the belt drifts left, or the right screw clockwise ↻ if it drifts right. Repeat as needed, avoiding overtightening. Correct tension allows belt edges to lift 2-3 cm.
- Belt Slipping: If the belt slips, tighten both adjustment screws clockwise ↻ by half a turn. Repeat if necessary.
Troubleshooting & Error Codes
Common Issues:
- Treadmill does not turn on or shuts off: Check power cable connection, wall socket functionality, frame power switch, and fuse.
- Treadmill makes noise: Friction noise may indicate the belt needs centering. Creaking may require tightening parts. Some noise is normal from shoe friction or belt welding.
- Circuit breaker trips: Ensure the treadmill is plugged directly into a wall socket, not an extension cord or power strip. Verify the circuit is rated for at least 16 amps.
Error Codes:
Error Code | Explanation | Inspection/Action |
---|---|---|
E1 | Communication problem between console and control board. | Power cycle the treadmill. Check console cable connections, pins, and integrity. If the problem persists, the damaged part (cable, console, or control board) may need replacement. |
