♻️ Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Batteries:
Electrical and electronic equipment and included batteries contain materials, components, and substances that can be harmful to your health and the environment if waste products (discarded electrical and electronic equipment and batteries) are not handled correctly.
Electrical and electronic equipment and batteries are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, as shown below. This symbol is intended to remind the user that electrical and electronic equipment and batteries should not be disposed of as normal household waste, but must be collected separately.
As the end-user, it is important that you hand in your used batteries to a suitable and specially designated facility. This ensures that the batteries are recycled in accordance with legislation and do not harm the environment.
All cities have specific collection points where electrical or electronic equipment and batteries can be handed in free of charge at recycling stations or other collection locations. In certain cases, waste can also be collected from your home. Ask your local authorities for more information.
